Re: The Wolf's Head Tavern

"Okay then. Mind if we eat the steak her eat the barstand. I haev already asked for some steak from the bartender and we could eat it here," said Black Fang as he looked at Bareback with a sort of confused look on his face he had never encountered a werewolf like Bareback before and was curious about his. As Black Fang starred Bareback up and down he couldn't help but let a question slip out of his mind.

"So what world do you hail from? I knwo for a fact that you haven't come from my world because if you did I would have recognized you right off," said Black Fang as he looked at Bareback while waiting for the barkepper to bring the food and water.

"Lady De Leon, this place of France, is there Beef there? Opelintarium says as she receives her steaming roast and beef. She uses her fork and knife to cut a perfect little square out of the roast and inspects it throughly before placing it in her mouth and chewing slowly. Her eyes light up, "This is simply marvelous! This taste is like nothing I have ever tasted!"

Parker looks at the princess with some concern.  "My lady, I would suggest you eat slowly.  If you are not used to it, it can be hard on the stomach."  Nothing is hard on his stomach, that was an advantage of his people, they really could eat anything.

In reply to Black Fang (msg #917):

"Werewolves are numerous where I am from, so not knowing an individual is nothing new, but I do not recognize your scent."  Their existence was a closely guarded secret where he was from, but there seemed to be no secrets here in this realm.  "Where I come from werewolves, called Garou, are divided into tribes by their philosophy.  I am from a tribe called The Stargazers.  I was born under the half moon, which makes my role with my people that of a judge, an interpreter of the laws.  Bareback waited for the steak to be delivered and set to eating.  "And you?"

"My home world is quite different. We werewolves are called lycans and we live side by side with humans. In my home world I am thye leader of my village. My pack calls me the Lycan king but I am only the pack leader. We also live side by side with other creatures like vampires, ghosts, demons, and witches and warlocks. I hate demons though. Baah listen to me rambling. I am sorry tell me more about your world," said Black Fang as he tried to envision his village in his home world.

Aramendel:
>From Upstairs>>

Vanessa's misjudgment in his hearing was not for woe as he rather enjoyed the comment. Bobbing down the stairs happily while humming a bit, Aramen makes his way back to his seat. He gives Yana a rub on the shoulder as he sits down.

"Oh, is that fresh milk? That looks like quite a treat."

Yana smiles at Aramendel as he sits down.
Oh, it IS!  It just didn't occur to me to ask for any.  I wonder what other wonders they have here?

The dark-haired lass is almost bouncing in her seat in excitement at the prospects of exploring the "wonders" of the menu.

She looks at Soteria.
I feel a little lost too, ma'am, at times.  It CAN be a little overwhelming, I'll admit.
She grins.

In reply to Black Fang (msg #922):

"We live beside some humans, family members that we call kinfolk.  Normal humans have an instinctive fear of us, an evolutionary left over from when our ancestors hunted humans to control their numbers."  He was not sure how to explain that time in history, called the Impergium, and worse, he wasn't sure he wanted to explain it.  "Vampires, Mages, Demons, in my world those are all our enemies.  And, sadly enough, when we are not fighting them, we are fighting each other."  It was true, his people were rarely organized, and fought more battles against their own kind than the Wyrm.

Re: The Wolf's Head Tavern

"Hey atleast you weren't exiled out of your pack," said Black Fang unconsciously. It was forbidden for him to speak of it but Black Fang wasn't in his home world he was in the Wolf's Head Tavern so he felt no shame in talking about it.

"We have laws set forth by the original leaders of the clans. The laws of Ancient as we called them on my home world keep all of use creaures living in peace. However my clan seems to be the only one that is playing by the rules now a days it seems," said Black Fang as he looked at Bareback with a sad look on his face. It had been a long time since he had seen hs family. He missed his mate even though she was only human and he was forbidden to be with her he still loved her and hoped she was doing okay without him.

Re: The Wolf's Head Tavern

"We have exiles as well, we call them Ronins.  And, by our law, we are forbidden from associating with them during their exile.", he glanced at Black Fang, the other wolf probably thought he was going to shy away from him since he learned he was an exile.  "But, we are not in my world, or yours, so those laws, I suppose, do not matter much at all."  Howard knew what it was like for a wolf to be without his pack, it was a hard life, being solo when you were meant for a pack.  "What's in the woods out there?  I always find a run through the woods helps to clear my mind when something is troubling it."

"Here.", Bareback replied.  "I was suggesting a jaunt through the woods, a brief run to clear your mind.  I don't know, it always helps clear my mind."  Bareback wasn't sure what wolves were like where Black Fang came from, but in his world his companions often spent time in the woods, reconnecting with their wolf nature.  Maybe on Black Fang's world they had found a way to strike a balance, or maybe they lived mostly as humans.

Re: The Wolf's Head Tavern

"They do have some amazing items here. The venison roast was terrific when I had it, though it was some time ago.  Some of the drinks I've shared with Master Mason were interesting as well. While you are here," he said as a generality. "it would probably be best to experience as much as you can."

He eyed the frosty glass of stark whiteness. He found his hand wandering towards it, knowing he could just order her more but stopped.

"I am tempted to steal some of your milk, Yana, but milk tends to not agree with my stomach, though I do enjoy it,"
said the sandy hair elf. It was so pleasing for him to see her so excited, especially with the trepidation she had about coming back here. It was a refreshing experience.

Alas, Aramen could not shake the comment Abraham just said to him. He leaned in and asked softly, but not privately, "Yana dear, Abraham just mentioned something about an Elixer or something. . . do you know what he was talking about or am I just hearing things again?"

The Professor enters the Tavern and looks around with a smile. He approaches the bar and asks the bartender "Good sir! How are you? Do you have a vanilla milkshake?" The Professor exudes an aura of confidence as he sits down at the bar. "So where is this place?" he asks curiously.

"A good run through the woods sounds good to me. I am going to warn you though I don't know how many forms you can take but I have three. Wolf, human, and Lycan (half human half wolf)," said Black Fang as he got out of his seat and gestured to Bareback to go first in respect to his new friend.

In reply to Parker (msg #919) and Alexis Con De Leon (msg #920):

"O, yes of course." she slows down her speedy dainty eating of the hot meat and retrieves a napkin from her sling bag and softly dabs it on her rose lips, "Thank you for the tip Master Parker. Miss De Leon, does your Kingdom of France have such wonderful dishes as roast?"

Re: The Wolf's Head Tavern

Parker looks around at all of those talking.  He is getting tired of this size.  The perspective of the world was all wrong, but he stays in his 5 foot version for now.  First to the newcomer in the suit.  "This is the Wolf's Head Tavern.  It sits at a crossroad to many times and places.  It is a neutral ground meeting spot between the worlds."

Looking at the two were wolves.  "Be careful about the woods.  This is not a place of nature, this is a place of magic.  There do not seem to be animals native to this place but there are things that live in the woods.  Also there are portals all over, step through one and you will end up back in your home world."

He steps back over to his table and picks up the plate of roast meat that he was eating before.  It is cold now, but as he walks back over to join the others, he lets out a small puff of flame that further chars the meat.

Howard heard about Black Fang's forms, and responded by explaining the forms they had.  "Counting my human form, five.  Wolf, Dire Wolf, a middle form - more man than wolf but with elements of both, and our warform, which is the werewolf form people expect to see when they thing of shapechangers."  He was wondering about the weaknesses of the wolves from his world.  "Does silver harm you as well or does than not have any effect on you?"

Yana froze as Aramendel whispered the question to her.
Nervously, she faced him.
Um...yes.  He gave me an elixer as a present.  I felt a little guilty, all things considered, but he insisted.

She bit her lip in trepidation, obviously leery of the elf's response to her admission.

Ski tucked into his steak like a man possessed; barely seeming to chew each bite before it's fellow arrived in his mouth.

"Good." he managed between mouthfuls.

His eyes darted around the tavern as he ate, taking in the new forms; the two women and the.....hobbit?  Odd.

Boone looks over at By-Tor. What are you looking for, anyways? Protection, an explorer/tracker, or just companionship? And what's so important about this Fountain anyway? Outside of teaching 'Ski' here how to bounce his attacks, I've got nothing holding me here, and a change in scenary might do me some good.
