Re: The Wolf's Head Tavern

>>From Porch<<

Jasa returned once more to the tavern, having received rather useful information from Parker.  She had a target now, or at least an immediate goal.  Now, she just had to find someone to guide her through the woods to this 'Eviel.'

<<From Upstairs<<

Aubria walked down the stairs silently, glancing over at Max briefly before walking to the front door. She also noted that the wind girl- Aubria almost thought 'wind spirit'- was there still. With all that in mind, she opened the door and walked outside.

Mmm. I supose. Max looked from the man to the woman who entered.  Another from a time and place she couldn't identify.  So...in your world.... Her attention back to the man, What is it exactly you would be paid to do?  If I may ask.

"Oh, it depends," Kell responded.  "Back when I was with the caravans, I started out as a guard but quickly became a greeter as well.  Helps to have a nice face," he said with a smile.  Taking a bite of his food, he added, "With adventuring, it all depends on the patron.  My last job had me exploring some old religious ruins with a few others; the guy needed to pay some taxes and so we went exploring for treasure."

Re: The Wolf's Head Tavern

As she had suspected, Kel had not used the term adventuring in a euphemistic way.  Still it surprised her.  That sounds very...peaceful.  She offered struggling for an appropriate word.  In my world there is not much left that has not been...found. There were a number of words she could have chosen, but found seemed the most... polite.

Re: The Wolf's Head Tavern

She was just finishing her glance around the main room, hoping to find someone that might know the woods around here, when she overheard the pair talking about adventure.  She paused a moment, and then crossed to their table.

"Excuse me," she spoke, her eyes flicking from one to the other, "but I could not help but overhear your words.  I wonder, if perhaps, either of you have been to the forest beyond this place in your travels?"

After an exasperating, hushed conversation, Scott straightened with a sigh.  There was no way he was going to find Raf.  Was there? With a shake of his head, he clapped Jethro on the shoulder and headed outside.

Well... I've been to some other worlds... In all honesty, I'm not exactly sure where one stops and another begins. Max answered the woman honestly.  What might you be looking for? She asked curious.

After the clap on the shoulder, Jethro just looks up at the youth and watches him walk out. Before he heads out the door, he calls out, "Hey Scott, good to see you are okay."

Re: The Wolf's Head Tavern

Kell saw someone approach their table and ask them about the forest.  He smiled up at Ja'sha'a as he thought over her question.  "I haven't spent much time in that forest," he replied.  "In fact, I don't even know where the one on my world left off and this one began.  Are you in need of assistance?"

Thanks man, you too.  Scott offered Jethro a sincere smile. If you hear from him... He gave a restless sigh. I'll be back. He grinned, then stepped out....

"I have been advised to seek out a child in the woods by the name of Eviel.  I have been warned of the dangers and, as I do not know the way myself, I am forced to seek guidance.  I am new to this place.  Please, forgive me if my questioning is unwelcome..."  It certainly wouldn't have been the first time she had asked the wrong questions in a new place.

"It's not at all," Kell said, smiling.  "I am not aware of anyone living in the woods, let alone a child.  The first I ever saw of someone around here is when I walked in the door."

Max shook her head, I don't know of any one either, but then... I've not been around here much... She looked at the women. I'd go with you to look, if you want. She gave a slight shrug. I don't tend to sit still very well. She added with a bit of a smirk, and glanced between the two with her wondering if Kel would volunteer also and if this woman would want others to go with.

"Ah, I see.  Thank you.  Your assistance would be greatly appreciated," she spoke before she gave Max a slight bob of her head, like a very stunted bow.  "I have traveled many places, and seen many strange and wondrous things in my travels, but in a place as foreign as this, I cannot help but think I would be best served in finding companions to aid my journey."

Max chuckled, Don't get me wrong lady, I'm not altruistic, I just get restless. She shrugged. And I'm in no hurry to return to my world... She gave a nod to Kel, then turned back to the woman, So you're looking for a babe in the woods, huh?  That shouldn't be that hard.

Coming down the stairs with his stomach grumbling, he looks around the bar.  Surprisingly, little has changed in his time upstairs, except his appetite.  He is completely recovered from when he went upstairs.  Moving past Max and her boy toy, he heads to the bar, lighting a cigarette from his finger as he goes.  "Eh Gatihna."

Leaning on the bar and looking at the barkeep.  "Gets me two more plates of food me good mon.  Steak n eggs be gud."

Oh, this is mortifying; Beaker thought to himself but he still felt some of the old comfort when the Great-one carried him.

He was still startled how shakey he was, while it was going away quickly -but Oh, that Mint was wondwerful.

Groaning inwardly at all the persons in the tavern,
Beaker turned back to the door Smiling Bravely (he hoped); I hate to drink alone.
Beaker refused to wince when he realized how sqeaky his voice came out. By the Great one am I a Rabbit or a mouse.

Jack looks at the; fire in front of him, left at the bar, then right.  Seeing the tables he changes his mind hooking a stool from the bar he goes to a table near a corner booth.

Setting Beaker on the stool Jack waits a moment to see if Beaker has any problems sitting there, turns and heads back to the bar.

Coming up to the bar next to the Noble Lady Alexis Con De Leon, Jack asks; You doing alright Maam? ...

Jack turns to the bar; you wouldn't be able to come up with a pitcher of carrot or tomato juice would you?

"Altruistic or not, companions are good to have in strange places," she smiled, taking no offense from Max.  "I will await your return, at your leisure," she nodded to Kell.  She was eager, but, not so much as to rush those who had volunteered to aid her.

Looking at her with a questioningly look for just a second, the man nods and pours a glass of amber liquid into a snifter, setting it in front of Alexis.

He turns towards the hunter and pours a pitcher of Carrot juice, leaving it on the bar in front of him.  "We take almost any form of payment here."

Pulling out a debit card Jack puts it on the bar, you take visa?

Listening to the response Jack grinned; That’s fine I’ll be looking for a room later.  I’ll settle when I check in.
