Re: Ideas, Notes, Remarks about the adventure itself

Reading other people's suggestions for where they would like the story to progress, and I know I'm new so this is very wishful thinking and presumptuous.

Id like the group to move through the legendary Black Fire Pass.
-A pilgrimage for Klaus at the Temple of Sigmar.
-Bugman's Brewery for everyone else!
Once out of the pass, Id hope we could travel south to the dwarf fortress of Barak Varr.
-Merchants trading from all over the world
-Dwarf smiths
-Dwarf hospitality!!!
-Enormous city to explore
-Made out of a cave system, e.g. possibility of goblin/skaven incursion
-Travel further south and there are the tombs of Khemri to loot
-Dragon Isles and the feral, savage lizardmen not to far from Khemri
-Travel to anywhere in the world from the port
-DWARF HOSPITALITY!!
-The chance of meeting a real-life King, Byrrnoth Grundadrakk

That's my 2c anyway: Barak Varr.

I can not promise all of these but I can tell in a whisper, I had the same ideas just as presented in the points above, but maybe not exactly in that form what Leo would expect.

Re: Ideas, Notes, Remarks about the adventure itself

I'd like to head into the large and "safe" (snicker) cities of the central empire where there is plenty of social situations where a social BEAST like Cosmina could do well.

I would like something in either Mordheim, Altdorf or maybe Middenheim. Intrigue, backstabbing and lots of political tension. M does have some social skills :)

I'll agree with those options except for Mordheim. Its nothing more than a warpstone tainted ruin these days.

Please no going underground at one place and surfacing 300 miles further, as that would mean loosing Bella.

Staying in the Empire for awhile sounds good to Ivan.
Better his Reikspiel and whatnot :)

Re: Ideas, Notes, Remarks about the adventure itself

Upon further research Talabheim seems a better option.
A strong Taal worshiping presence to allay your fears Tyre
Plenty of fields for Kreigs and the nag  to play in
And more than enough RP opportunity for the GM
Its not halfling friendly though

We could keep them in any city.

There are these things called "stables". You keep horses in them.

Re: Ideas, Notes, Remarks about the adventure itself

To me it's not so important where we go so much as what we're doing. I'd like to see some 'normal' combats where we:

1: Face living, sentient opponents, capable of emotions. So far almost everything we kill is so monstrous or evil that the moral ambiguity is practically non-existent.

2: Face smaller groups of enemies, rather than great hordes, every once awhile. So the battles actually can be won by just killing everything.

In reply to Leo Kastleman (msg #104):

While they are certainly more popular in Talabecland, Taal & Rhya are worshipped throughout the entire Empire (it's actually rather unusual for anyone outside of the clergy to 'pick' a god they worship above all others), people living in the city just don't need them as much as those living in rural areas.

Re: Ideas, Notes, Remarks about the adventure itself

I can work with everything. Though Thorolf would be quite out of his league in cities and largely dependant on Cosmina. And people would hate him, being a barbarian and all. But it is not a problem, it is more of a story opportunity.

Cosmina does the talking, Thorolf does the hitting.

They cover each others weaknesses rather well, don't they?

Re: Ideas, Notes, Remarks about the adventure itself

First of all, I love the adventure.

But sometimes it feels like I can read the script
"Then so-and-so happens"

It doesn't seem to matter what the character does in some cases.

It might very well be my perception of reality, but still the adage "Don't say no, determine difficulty" comes to mind.

Just trying to improve our experience - I hope my attendance shows I really like this game.
