Re: Ideas, Notes, Remarks about the adventure itself

Thanks so much :) Actually the 2nd ACT was totally my idea in every aspect, though there will be an ACT that is based on a book, but I will not say more of it.

Re: Ideas, Notes, Remarks about the adventure itself

Would it be possible to not use PL only posts? Lots of things happen somewhere else, and it is expected that the player lets his character be blissfully unaware of those things. If it is really secret then PMs are better.

Re: Ideas, Notes, Remarks about the adventure itself

I would like to stick to the PLs, but you're right. So EVERYONE please use some meaningful text in your messages other than PL! Like:
"Bob's laugh can be heard from the room"
or
"Bob whispers something into Karen's ear" or something.

Re: Ideas, Notes, Remarks about the adventure itself

I thought it would be time to give some comments. First, congrats 5000 posts is getting near. Secondly, I have to say that this game is great. There is enough action and every combat forces us to think about tactics. Definitely a good thing. Then there are the other parts that are perfect for more social RP.

Sometimes it is hard to keep up with the pace as some players post more than others. I don't think that is a flaw to those players, but it does sometimes make me think I don't participate enough. And I want to thank all the other, very talented players. It is a pure pleasure to read their clever decisions and RP. It makes me think myself as a total n00b sometimes though =D. It is good that my character can be considered socially handicapped, so that when I can't come up with a clever solution (or somebody does it before me) I can be the "me-no-understand" barbarian =D.

Just now it is hard to come up with things that should be improved... Oh and by the way, I loved the dreams! There is no reason to over do it, but this far it has been one of my favorites!

Re: Ideas, Notes, Remarks about the adventure itself

I've been thinking about how to play out these inter battle interludes. A lot of time is spent talking (and healing, good!) but for me it is sometimes unclear how much can be done/has been done by characters.

Could I ask for a kind of 10(?) minutes 'rounds' in these circumstances, were everybody tells what main things they are trying to achieve?

True, it is a bit mechanical, any other solution to this problem would be fine by me too.

I'm always summing things in posts, while I describes paralell, what happens, for example now outside...
... there will be more happening out there, I just stopped to let you all act.

Re: Ideas, Notes, Remarks about the adventure itself

I think Linolil's idea might be worth trying. You could say like "OOC: describe your character's actions for the next x minutes/hours/whathaveyou".... Just an idea...

Re: Ideas, Notes, Remarks about the adventure itself

That I'm so glad of... I really am. In this fight I found for the first time the actual need for things like defensive stance. It is almost always a total waste of time if the objective is to kill all the enemies. Only other thing I have used it for was when being the tank of the group, but that is not so RPish.

Once more, thanks for making that true.

It's time for a short public opinion research.

Since everyone is playing in the game for a while now, I would like to hear, what do you like/hate and what do you wish to see/expect in the adventure!

Mostly I am happy about things. I think we're a bit lost for directions right now, but that could easily change.

Re: Ideas, Notes, Remarks about the adventure itself

There are so many players that the game progress is sometimes a bit slow, but I do not mind. It is easier to play when in hurry or motivation is low, if the pace is relaxed... I remember the times when a couple of hours absence meant I had to read multipel pages of stuff.

Game is good, hoping to evolve in relations with other characters. Especially ties to Manfred, Tyre and Wanda seem to be very light.

Well maybe bit saddening news, I hoped himself would tell you guys, but it seems that Manfred will be out of the game :'(

But do not worry, do not mourn I already have a new character set up to introduce to you :)

Re: Ideas, Notes, Remarks about the adventure itself

Honestly I'd like to get out of sylvania and do more travel. See new, more exciting parts of the Old World and barely survive them. Maybe due some urban adventure in a large city.

And less unkillable bad guys with convenient magical character shields.
