Re: OOC: 12 Mar 13 - ?

Welcome Operator, it will be nice to have another new player around!  I like what you have written so far.  I already use rose as my dialogue color, but it never got updated on the list, so you may need to pick a different one.

Going back to a Rydi's question from this morning, who do we sound like?  Serenade sounds like Florence Welch (w/o the accent).

In reply to Serenade (msg # 15):

It looks like Orange is available, as is Coral. If either of these is preferable, I'll take that one. Coral is shorter, which makes it easier for me to type quickly, but if it resembles another color too closely, I'll take Orange.

I never bother typing it. Just write it all normally, and then go through the text, highlight speech with the cursor, go to the "styled text" drop down, and pick your color. Way faster.

Re: OOC: 12 Mar 13 - ?

I alternate.  Old coding habits built a habit of putting in that sort of thing on the fly while typing, and sometimes it's lazier to just use the keyboard than to reach over to the mouse.

In other news, welcome aboard Operator!

Welcome welcome! When I post using my i-things i type in the coding, the highlighting on touch screens is a pain.  Is operator going to be utopian, terat, aberrant, elite or unaligned?

I just noticed that my character description only has the most recent paragraph, giving new players no clue who Flare is.  :( This will be corrected.

Re: OOC: 12 Mar 13 - ?

Updated the character colors to account for everyone (I think).

I'm pretty sure Operator will be an elite, as you will probably all see shortly...  Though more of an independent contractor than tied to any particular agency.  Operator's player isn't quite familiar with all the various options for elite allegiance, but liked the general idea.

If he needs an 'in' with the group I could give him one, Solitaire knows some of the more independent Elites, for good or ill.

... because of course when you're insane convincing yourself something must be true when you've got absolutely no evidence at all is super easy.

Also, a fun fact, crisscross is apparently not hyphenated, and I always thought it was.

Re: OOC: 12 Mar 13 - ?

Soooo, everybody still affiliated with T2M is getting fired. The question is how to take Ragnarockette with us. Co-opting T2M:E would be a brilliant PR move when this shit hits the fan.

Gonna spend the day at work thinking on this. Hrmm.

Also, depending on how this goes, Utopia might go with it. Half of T2M:A is raiding one of its own prisons, with a bunch of Terats and a couple elites in tow.

BWAHAHAHA TAKE THAT THETIS.

Or we start a war. Either way, fun times.

Re: OOC: 12 Mar 13 - ?

I see this going 1 of 4 ways.
1) we get branded public enemies 1-whatever and are made global pariahs. Hard to do if we get our mojo back.
2) Laragione uses this as an excuse to clean house. This probably drives Thetis into the directive.
3) utopia falls as word of what's going on in the facility gets out and the old timers use their global influence against utopia.
4) profit.

Suzukaze:

I've assumed you were silently accompanying the group that Imp is leading.  You were invited to the Vegas meeting(Post 268 in full circle said all the old utopia members + dragon, and you predate him on the team).  Or, if you want you can be with Sol's group.  Either way.

Imp, I think some version of #2 and #3 are most likely.  #1 is possible, even with powers, but highly unlikely.  Especially with Impetus making the populace like his version of events better.  Sol's idea of disenchanted T2Mers away from Utopia is also pretty likely, at least a few anyway.  #4 is unlikely on the grand scale, since this will make the aberrant war more likely, but on the short term you are all rich enough that you probably don't even care.

Speaking of, Kraken should take the Wealth Beyond Avarice bg enhancement from Adventure!

Re: OOC: 12 Mar 13 - ?

Option 5) The aeon society, realizing that they're not total f^*&&^ morons, decide to get on board with shutting Proteus down.  They also realize that Laragione will be forever sullied by his knowledge and passive abetting of Proteus (yes, the blood of those forcibly aborted nova fetuses is on your hands too, Larry)  so he is removed from his post and replaced by.... Frostburn?

oooh, Just read the post where Guggie's been called in.  The tension, it builds!

Doesn't Frosty tangently work for Proteus too? Shes up to her eyeballs in some cloak and dagger venture at least. Solitaire would be in favor, Frosty gets things done.

This is going to get hairy, that's for sure.  Also, apologies: longer week, surprisingly less brain than usual.

Also, Comstock sounds like ... I don't know.  I have a voice in my head, but that doesn't really help.  Uh ... Webb Wilder plus Commander Shepherd?  Buck 65 meets George Clooney?  I guess just look all those up and shake well.

Yeah, Frostburn has been involved in some of the Proteus stuff, just not the inner circle.  Still her CIA background gives her insight into the hows and the why of what is going on behind the scenes and she really hates it.  So she's actually a good candidate if someone went that direction with her.

Re: OOC: 12 Mar 13 - ?

Alright, time to start reading through whatever took place since I was last alive.  Ah yes, a voice.  Let's go with GlaDOS from the German translation of Portal where the character was, of course, voiced by Werner Herzog.  A real morass of meaning that.  Incidentally, the simple substitution of German for English changes Portal 2 quite substantially.  Less zany, more ... Mengele.  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mw95J2VwVDI.  Oh, the test subject died so we scraped him into the furnace.  This doesn't remind me of anything, certainly not with German Cave Johnson's giddy narration over the top of everything.  Alright, one last thing before I start reading the posts proper, Werner Herzog Reads Where's Waldo.  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EvWh6PMi9Ek.
