Re: It's still got mad potential to be fun, dammit!

I live!  Also, I HUNGER!

<gripe>Long investigation has revealed nothing worth doing in this hellhole (as I don't really drink, don't eat cheese, and don't watch football).  You may think I jest, but I do not.  The #1 tourist draw here is apparently the World Dairy Exposition with the #2 being the customer con at the place I work (which I cannot avoid, though they're at least not making me participate in the Hee Haw-esque variety show that apparently accompanies it).  I now know why D&D was developed here.</gripe>

Anyway, it seems I should now have some time to devote to this again.  Perhaps someone at the auction needs a silent partner?

Alright, you have a link into the scene.  You may insert yourself digitally, physically, or paradoxically into the situation as you like.

I'll have the next reply up tonight.  Just giving extra time for stragglers to post; since we had such a long break I wanted to avoid posting too quickly the first week back on.

So, now that it's officially summer (40C/104F) here in the great white north, and i have a working computer, I decree that there must needs be new/continuing storylines.  Anybody interested/able to?

Did you...have any ideas in mind?  I've got a couple I could try to flesh out.

Re: ^__^

I've got a couple, but they'd really work better if there were more than the two of us.  My ideas:
1) Grappling with a crime syndicate: infiltrate, observe. Take action against?
2) Continuing with our storyline in Colombia.  We've got some leads that really need to be wrapped up there.
3) Stuff pertaining to the kid (name escapes me) that Paidrag helped rescue. Her pursuers could show up, or we could get some info on them.
4) Taking over the world because it looks like there's nobody else doing anything ;)
I kid, i kid...

So, I swear I end every day meaning to catch up and slip back into the game, then I get distracted and before I knew its been a month...

I think today I'm going to write a vignette or two to wake the part of my brain where Solitaire sleeps back up.

Heavy Thoughts.

As we collectively sort of wait for Ridi to come back from the dead.  Maybe we can "sit around a campfire"  and swap favorite war stories from the past.  Paraphrase or retell one of you favorite scenes or moments from the past; from the moment a group of stumbling, fresh-faced newbies trickled into training camp until "today."  Copy/paste is cheating, the point is to tell the "war story" through our own [or rather our characters'] eyes.

BBQ

Angelo looked carefully around the field of wrecked vehicles and debris until he found just the thing he was looking for.  He opened the hood on the crumpled staff car (the only part still relatively intact) and ripped out the engine.  He then went about, picking up bits and bobs of metal scrap, flattening, bending, twisting, and molding them until he had created a barbecue pit surrounded by benches and seats from various vehicles.  By the time the afternoon sun was fast becoming the early evening sunset, there would be a glowing bed of coals “seasoned” with chips of mesquite wood.  He wondered how many of the team would show, and whether Bonita would finally come out of seclusion.

Re: BBQ

Maybe this should be moved out of the OOC thread, although I'm pretty sure the game has actually, finally, tragically, died.  I've never seen it this quiet.
And by quiet I mean totally, deathly silent.

Re: BBQ

I'm going to finish Mirrors in Darkness, regardless of whether anyone is still around. However, I don't tend to think about it when I don't see red on the main page.

I do still check, but historically my posting has been a bit more reactive to something else going on rather than the other way around.

[EDIT] Hell, its been 2 months since the last post there.

I'm still alive and Solitaire still lives at the back of my head, though shes been sleeping for a few years now.

Amusing that you posted now, I've kinda been thinking about getting a pic of the team commissioned, just for nostalgia and perhaps a bit of closure.
