After I got back from South America, my pet rabbit (of 11 years) died.  I took this badly and crawled into my hole.  I emerge.

Sorry to hear about your rabbit, Flare, losing a pet is tough.   On a different note, South America? Cool! Where did you go?

Thanks for the condolences.

Three friends and I went to Rio de Janiero during Carnival (woohoo) then Sao Paulo in Brazil.  We then went to Buenos Aires in Argentina and tangoed and shopped our hearts out.  The last leg was in Lima, Peru.   We made the grand attempt to get to Machu Picchu, but rains and suck prevented it.  We went to the second largest Incan ruins Sacsayhuaman (say it aloud).

It was two weeks of fairly awesome fun.  If I world travel again I will plan better, but otherwise, I really had a blast.

And suddenly I imagine Gale sounding like Peggy Lee (I really assume that she doesn't sound like Little Willie John)!!!  Love the Old School!

Indeed.  Meant to link to the Peggy Lee version in the post, but I forgot.  But I'm sure everyone can google it on their own.

I always think of the Madonna version, but that's just because I heard it first.  Conversation gives me an interesting thought though: what do people's characters sound like?  Gale is Peggy Lee, Impetus has a voice too holy and wondrous to ever be described, but what about everyone else?

My name is Rusty and I am a long time friend of Rydi's, and I'm joining in the game! From what I've read so far this group maintains a very high quality, and I'm really hoping to be able to measure up to the standard you have all worked so hard to maintain.

Since I'm new and you guys have a lot of history together, I'd be happy to modify or change the way I post or interact with your characters if you feel like it needs a bit of a change, and if you want to intertwine backstories or character activities with mine I'd be happy to. You may also find some other helpful rules here.


Remember that quotes from NPC's are in yellow (highlight the text and click on the box "styled text" for a list of colors to select), and your quotes should be in your chosen color.
