You make me feel like such a slacker, since I haven't contributed in a while. Though, I have been pretty busy at work. No time to roam around in search of pictures.

Hey, you're good. I get some free time in between posting IC in games, so I usually stay logged into RPoL and do some pic Google searching as a side activity. ^_^ I'm basically supplying the sources of the pics.... Nightowl and Ravyn are the list masters with all the work of getting things up.

Re: Portrait Identification Chat

I was looking for a portrait of Jaime Pressly so I searched the list. FMB 052 is definitely not her. It looks to me like Amy Smart/Peta Wilson (http://www.inmirror.com/separa...my-smart-peta-wilson).

(While I couldn't find the actual picture you can tell the collar of the coat is the costume for Roy Batty. This picture under "Cyborg" also supports IMHO)

I didn't know Russell Crowe was going to be playing Robin Hood. Isn't he a little old for the part? I suppose he's got to be better than Kevin Costner was.

Re: Portrait Identification Chat

You know, I totally agree with you about the age thing. At least Crowe has an accent, unlike Costner. lol Cate Blanchett is supposedly playing Marian (they dropped Sienna Miller after original casting), and Matthew McFadyen as The Sheriff.

I'm a huge fan of the BBC TV Series 'Robin Hood', with Jonas Armstrong. It was so young modern and fresh. ^_^

Anyway, here's a first look of the movie that The Daily Mail had awhile back......

Re: Portrait Identification Chat

My favorite was always "Robin of Sherwood", at least for the first two seasons. Didn't like it as much when Jason Connery took over as Robin Hood. Ray Winstone played Will Scarlet and Clannad did the music for it.

Re: Portrait Identification Chat

That's neat! I actually just finished watching Robin of Sherwood on DVD. I enjoyed it, and thought it had some very interesting elements, like the sword Albion. I saw Jason Connery's season first, and I liked his easy going, boyish personality. But I was impressed with Michael Pread, I loved his last ep with the entire hillside last arrow. ^_^

Oddly on subject... look who turned up in the gallery:

Cool! Maybe we're not the only ones that think there are better Robin Hoods out there.

I don't think it was Jason's performance that was lacking for me. Killing off the original Robin to bring in a new "Robin" changed the group dynamic. The other characters had more of a shared history with Robin then they did with Robert. The show just felt "off" to me at that point, like something was missing, and that wasn't Jason's fault. But I know they didn't have much of a choice, since Michael Praed had decided to quit the show.

Anyway, got them both added to the lists.

Re: Portrait Identification Chat

Probably since I saw season 3, before 1 and 2 I got a different impression overall about the third season... It might have improved my opinion of the eps Jason is in. I bet if I had watched them in order I would have gotten a slightly different impression to how the transition worked from Robin of Loxley to Robert of Huntingdon. I did think Judy Trott worked better with Michael though.

The soundtrack was cool. I like that song 'Now Is Here, Here Is Now'. It took me awhile to warm Ray Winstone's Will, I had grown use to seeing that character as the quiet, tense voice of reason in BBC's RH. But I grew to like him... I thought Mark Ryan's Nasir was awesome.

(BTW thanks for adding the updates)

Finally, we've got all the old lists copied over. That took a bit longer than I thought it would. Too many other things kept demanding our attention. Keep sending us updates of new identifications and any corrections that you find!
