Re: Portrait Identification Chat

We're going to need a few days to copy over the existing lists, then we can get back to updating them with the latest finds.

As I mentioned before, my computer time may be limited this week, so please be patient. We'll be up to speed very soon.

Re: Portrait Identification Chat

No hurry, Nightowl (I'll be away from normal internet access for about a week myself) You're making good progress. ^_^

Just let me know, if I can do anything to help. Thanks again for picking up this project.

Re: Portrait Identification Chat

This is probably a premature question.... but I was wondering... Would it be helpful/desired to identify the source of the pics? I know some are tagged:

Carey Elwes Actor The Princess Bride (movie)

While others just say 'actor/actress/singer' etc. Looking over the list I know many of the films/TV series the actors are from, and could identify them. Is this something that would add to the lists?

(if not now maybe in future?)

Re: Portrait Identification Chat

Yes, we plan on identifying the source of the pictures when it's obvious from the actor's costume or hair and make-up that it's from a specific source. For example, pictures of people in Star Trek uniforms will be tagged as Star Trek, but pictures of those same actors in modern casual clothing probably won't.

I plan on getting more of the lists up this week, now that I've got more time to work on them.

Re: Portrait Identification Chat

That sounds like a good idea. I'll be glad to lend a hand in that regard when the time comes (just give the word).

You and Ravyn are doing great, so please don't feel like you've got to hurry. ^_^ I just wish there was something I could do to help.
