The Lorelei - Dinner

At the appropriate time, you gather in the common room, where a crewman opens the panel that conceals the turbolift. It takes two trips to get everyone to the waiting area upstairs. Varis is standing in the room, accompanied by an astromech droid. She greets you each in the turn that you arrive.

Varis wears a slightly dressy, but casual outfit in green and black. Her sleek black pants are pinstriped in dark green, matching her three-quarter length sleeved, solid green shirt which is trimmed in black with a moderate neckline. Her stylish boots are an expensive serpent-hide in black. She has styled her hair so that it falls down her back and is clear of her face. She wears a necklace, earrings, and bracelet in platinum with onyx and emeralds.

The entire upper deck of the ship is extremely luxurious and about as spacious as it is possible to get aboard a transport. It seems that this level was potentially designed for entertaining as well as luxury during travel. Much of the finish is real wood with inlays of metal and other wood.

Once everyone has arrived upstairs, Varis addresses you, "If you'll follow me, we can begin the meal. The meal will be served in the traditional manner of my culture, so I will apologize in advance that you will have to choose your own plates and pour your own drinks."

The dining area is located in the foremost portion of this deck and appears to normally serve as a reception area and observation deck. The starlines of hyperspace are visible in the viewports. "If anyone is disturbed by the view, I can close the ports. I understand that some people are affected with motion sickness by starlines."

The large round dining table is large enough to seat twelve comfortably, but of course, there will only be seven. A sideboard has been set up with food already portioned and artfully plated. "I was unaware of any dietary restrictions, so I prepared a Nerf Tartar with fried Ghoba rice and Tendril nuts and a shredded sea cabbage salad with souse-mustard dressing. I have selected a Corellian spiced ale to be served with dinner. There will be a White-chocolate bread pudding with Veronian berry wine for dessert." The tables has been set as well, and there are empty glasses at each place setting, one for water, one for ale, and one for the dessert wine. There are several buckets on the table filled with chilled bottles of ale.

Varis gestures to the sideboard and addresses her guests, "I give you my solemn oath that I prepared all of the food myself. Please, select your plate from those provided and sit wherever you would like."

At his quarters Narik tidied his appearance and polished his boots. His normal robes were of a formal style so there was no need for him to change. He did however remove his holster and leave a blaster on his bed, the blaster held under his arm he left there. Narik did not suspect foul play or a pirate attack but would play it safe and keep a weapon close.

When the group were summoned from the common room Narik took his place in the turbolift. He had seen the upper level before so made no reaction to the luxury and opulence. When offered a chair he took a plate and sat down.

Kaiten entered the common room dressed in his robes. He nodded at Narik and gave a welcoming smile to Varis. "Such a pleasure to see you again my lady, you look lovely. And you seem to have outdone yourself with the food. I will surely need to be carried out after we are done eating." He finished with a rare jest.

Kala arrived next, her usual outfit of comfortable pants and shirt had been replaced by a tight fitting blue dress. She wore no obvious weapons, though trying to find someplace to hide a weapon would be nigh impossible.

As she entered, she nodded to those assembled. "Impressive dining area." She said, as she made sure Krysten had enough room to come in behind her. "And everything looks delicious."

Krysten stepped out of the turbolift behind Kala, her armor polished with a coat of wax that gleamed in the lights and her helmet cradled under one arm.

"Looks nice, though I'm pretty sure the intricacies of the food are going to be lost on me."
