Re: Narik & Kala Private Conversation

Kala took a seat across from Narik, and nodded to the man.

"Back there, I could sympathize with you on the whole situation. I too, worked for the republic, mostly because of who my parents were. However, even as I worked for them, they left some worlds to their own devices. Like Nal Hutta, and Ryloth. The republic treated all with respect and decorum, but they did not interfere with other cultures. While I found some things on those worlds distateful, as an agent of the republic, I could not interfere." She began, as she nodded to the man. "Even now, on some worlds, the Empire does not care what happens, so long as they get their taxes and the worlds don't cause them much grief. While we are here, no matter how badly we see someone treated, we should not interfere. Granted, if someone was going to die in front of us, I can imagine that a few people in our group would feel the need to get involved, but everything else, we have to stay out of. I know it will be hard to do, but sometimes we have to think like the soldiers that we are, accomplish the mission, and head home."

Re: Narik & Kala Private Conversation

Back at the hotel Narik was calm. He sat with his hands in his lap, fingers threaded together. He smiled at Kala. It was felt good that she agreed with him. They were other things he also wished to discuss with the Zeltron, so he had to remind himself of why she was talking to him.

The soldier smiled, ”I know” he raised his hands in defeat ”but the pig-headed idiot Brill is putting himself in direct opposition of his own father. As if it isn’t going to be difficult enough to bring the Distombe clan down, the Ziveri clan are clearly fractious” he threw his hands down and slumped lower in his seat.

”Bah, sometimes I need to remind myself we’re in the outer rim and not on Coruscant” he fixed his eyes on Kala for moment and spoke slowly ”I had a bad feeling about this mission when Varis became personally involved, then the Imperial Inquisitor turned up. I have some important data” the Narik reached into his robes and retrieved a data-disc ”if we’ve been set up and something happens to me take this” the soldier pushed the disc back into the folds of his robes.

”Do we now approach Sinya?” he asked.

Re: Narik & Kala Private Conversation

"So, you think Varis might be someone connected with the jedi, and you have proof?" Kala asked, as she looked at Narik. It would be something interesting, if she had any connections with the order, and more interesting if she was a Jedi. "I would say, we send the father Brill's message, and then go see Sinya... Hopefully we'll have our response by the time we return."

Re: Narik & Kala Private Conversation

With a shake of his head Narik declared his lack of knowledge ”I don’t know if she’s got stake in it all, whether she personally warrants the attention of the Empire or whether she’s been set up by someone perhaps even Jaerad. I’m definite she can feel the heat though” he eyed the Zeltron carefully; he knew she was an empaths and could influence people with her pheromones. Was he being used as well?

Narik tried to maintain some control over himself ”if the heat gets too hot she won’t hesitate to abandon us or even use us to save her own tail” he lamented ”we need to stick together in this” he pleaded to Kala ”to watch each others backs”.

”Now let’s get the others together and go visit Sinya” he announced as he stood up and straightened his robes.
