Thanks. It's a mad rush now because we are trying to get everything ready by the end of this month (though I'm not sure if we'll hit that deadline) and then we can't move into our new house until the first of August so we'll hopefully be in a nice lull for the next couple months.

I'm sorry about my flakiness guys. In March I found I was seriously vitamin deficient (cause unknown), and now I'm going through a job change and a move. Life has been busy and draining to the extreme.

Also, if you guys have any tips or ideas for making the game run more smoothly, I'm all ears. I started playing another online game while at the same time watching lots of live play, and it made me realize just reminds me how clunky PbP can be for things like dialogue and decision-making, which is much of our game (or any game, really). But I don't really have a better solution than to just let it take a long time.

Yes, I'm still here too - just been a very busy few months as I've been using the majority of my free time for study. I should be completing the diploma I've been working towards at the end of this month, so should have quite a bit more free time at that point.

I'm happy to keep with PbP - we're clearly doing something right, even if it does take a while, we've finished a fair number of adventures and continued to play together despite long hiatuses.

My only suggestion might be to take it to Discord or somewhere that we're more likely to see it every day, but that's more a symptom of 'this is the only game I still play on this site' for me I think.

Sorry, busy at work has been followed by me catching COVID again, so low energy. Managed to get a short post up, though!

I'm not categorically opposed to Discord, though I would say for me, personally, it might not be a much better prompt.

Hello, folks! I'm still around - just been a very busy few months at work. Things have quietened down a bit now, so I should be able to be more responsive.

All good! I've actually joined another game on here (D&D 5e) which posts quite a bit. Paradoxically, the increased pace makes it easier for me to keep up with this one.

Yeah I spent a long time messing with the colors to get it to at least be legible. There are a couple new features, but honestly nothing I like more than I dislike everything being in the wrong spot!

I'm good, thanks! I'd be up for continuing the game if you both are. Things are a bit quieter at work at the moment, so it seems like a good opportunity to pick this back up.

I'm good to continue as well, if you are both up for it. No pressure though. If it's easier, I'm also happy to work Chapter 4 into somewhat of a conclusion so we can work for a defined end goal instead of something that keeps going and going.

I'm good with it too. I also kinda like the idea of putting an end of sorts to Chapter 4. We talked at one point about retooling into a different system and that might be a good transition point if we want to.

Ending Chapter 4 sounds good and we can chat about switching systems. I can't remember if we'd proposed any specific alternative suggestions? I'm a big fan of Fate and Fate Accelerated as lightweight narrative driven systems, but fairly flexible on what we change to and happy to learn something new if you both have a shared preference.

I know I had thrown out the idea of moving to a 5e port. I'm only really familiar with 5e/3.5e/d20M, but I'm happy to branch out.

So, next order of business: I think I'm going to retcon a little bit to allow you guys more autonomy in planning what you will do. I'll get a post up soon (if not today, then probably Monday -- I promise not to let it lag!) then we can get the ball rolling again.

I'm happy with a 5e port - I play a 5e game regularly and I really like the system. I may have even played a Modern game using the port you're talking about, thinking about it as a friend of mine ran a D20 Modern game using a 5e conversion during the lockdown. Looking forward to playing with you folks again :)
