-Milieu Under Construction (Play Inactive)

This milieu is is Heroic fantasy in the old mold, in that the Heroic Classes are reserved for the Heroes only you may have 100 mundane knights but only one Heroic Knight.  The streets of the city may be teeming with mundane thugs but only a few are their belted Heros,Thieves guild enforcers and the bandit toughs.  Whether called to being by the will of the God or the will of those, they are the Heros of; does it matter.
There are no Npc Classes those that were called that, gain the leadership TRAIT at first level which affects mundanes as if these classes were 3 or 5 levels higher.  They gain a personal affiliation, and property all supported by mundane followers.

All adult males are expected to wear a woven belt that doubles as a sling, this belt is embroidered by a woman who claims them in marriage [Watch out getting drunk at your ladies house, as that embroidery is considered a legal contract] special knotting and beadwork are reserved for Adventuring, Mercenary Guild, and Guild Officer, Heroic Talent Ranks, and buckle decoration for simple affiliation.  There is a bandolier style belt of the same style reserved for women with heroic talent or sword rank.
On formal occasions free "Good-men" hang a handle carved hand-axe from their belt, women carry a short broom carved as a "Runic Clog" [calendar- it is an open secret that the broom is a Cuntas (fire hardened spear, or an actual hand combat javelins)].   "town" elders carry blackwood walking sticks sheleighly carved by the settlement to show their rank on the council, man or woman. On those same occasions "gentlemen" and women of that rank wear swords, whether adult "Squire" or knight, most in in Entwort wear the Gladius as the performance dual is a major form of entertainment for that rank.

, most small settlements train the men in hand-axe and stick fighting the th

Skills

It is often spoken of Classes as if they are professions.  Here They ARE, if you are a fifth level Fighter you have five ranks in Profession (Fighter) unless you bought more ranks.  The limit is still the same for a class skill (which it is) and obviously, it doesn't change your level.  Unlike normal profession rolls,  You may take ten to role for income.  You get no GPs for this what you get is "Guild hospitality"; you get a room suitable to one of your Rank (you knew those skill points would come in handy), some guild contacts and a "mentor", as well as something to occupy your spare time while you are in town.   The DM will assign all these, if you have Special Requirements you will have to roll and the DC will get higher.  If you are willing to accept a lower rank of accommodations and expenses that lowers the DC.  Remember you are considered an apprentice in a craft until you are rank seven.  However, a Profession is a supervisory position.  Any profession that actually ends in a product must have a second skill, whether Craft, Knowledge, Performance or other skill.

Masque

In this Campaign no matter what the "Pax" [Rules systems] there are "Mundanes" [think 1st ed. zero levels] even if they would be considered special monsters. Mundanes also have a set of vulnerabilities called the "Masque" based on the aura of the magical heroes and fantastic races, within this campaign area.
An example is the Masque of Shadows used by forest gnomes in woodland to disappear from mundane mortals, if NOT the Heroes. Or the Ability of Grey elves to appear human or as another elven race at their choice, again not to the Heroes. Or the Masque of Mana that allows a magic-user to cast certain spells and cantrips without triggering loss of slot on mundanes.
