Battle in the Marketplace

Why not?  Ragnar can use a move action to hop onto the countertop in O12, P12 (where he is now), or Q12.  He'll get a +1 to hit for higher ground, but any Reflex saves will be at -1 due questionable footing.

Sunna is singing Sleep.  The party travelled with the wandering minstrel eye for so long they might be out of the habit of providing their own inspirational music.

Beindra the Acrobat

Since you couldn't find the acrobat to recruit her I wanted to let you in on a humorous moment we missed out on.

With Oscaronious you had to locate him, explain what you wanted him to do and convince him to do it.  It was a rather lengthy process, but you were eventually very successful.

You'd expect more of the same with Beindra, but once you make your pitch about what you want to do she just immediately agrees to go along with the plan.  "I'm in!"

Actually, whoever you tried to recruit second would have that reaction, so it could've been Oscaronious.

I must admit that I wasn't expecting our Johnson to be so ingnominously resolved pre-mission.

DM, how are the dwarves acting - "just found dead guy in alley"?  Watch him killed/fall?  Or "what, you caught us in the act?"

Yeah, there's a narrative reason for Dunmeal's condition.

I made another post to give you more information about how the bystanders are acting.

Question is, is he dead for sure? I'd suspect one or more of the dwarves to have been at least partially responsible.

I assume Sirrot knows Clantongue?

Sirrot speaks very good Clantongue.

Does Sirrot want to stay put with Ros until the others return, or go to the scene of the commotion he overheard and risk being recognized as a Calaquende?

Nope, staying with Ros. His recent experiences have sharpened his survival instincts.

The big bad (Kadrick) also has the portal plate, which is the key through a portal in the dwarven underground roads (the Maldir).  Our heroes need the portal key to have any hope of catching up to the 3 evil armies heading north to Yggdrasil, the Tree of Life.  This is their main mission now, and the reason they came to Sloss Hinterplatz, the dwarven stronghold.

This life trapping mirror is said to hold the soul or spirit or something of that sort of a close friend of Dunmeal's.

Dunmeal's plan required two skilled dwarves, an animal trainer named Oscaronious, and an acrobat named Beindra.  Our heroes recruited the animal trainer, who is with them now, but had no luck finding the acrobat.  The acrobat would get them into Brazmird Hall (Kadrick's "castle") by climbing the furnace smokestack and sneaking in on the one day that the forge fires will not be burning, the holiday of Zanbar Kelvyn, which happens to be tomorrow.  The animal trainer was to use his tiny trained miniature nuglets to open the complex lockboxes the items are stored in.

Our heroes don't know all the details of Dunmeal's plan.  He was going to explain it all today after the party recruited the acrobat and the animal trainer.  He did, however keep detailed drawings and notes in his cellar hideout where Mord and Rakanishu were just scouting around a few minutes ago.

Dunmeal

I created a wiki entry for Dunmeal and filled in some other entries.

http://triplefang.yoyo-pete.com/doku.php?id=dunmeal

I'll do more work on the wiki entries related to Sloss Hinterplatz and Yggdrasil.

I'd also like to leave you with a quote from Penn (via his translator).

"Now job is simple.  Leave Penn's house.  Get disk from Kadrick.  Walk Vanduahr Maldir.  Defeat Immortal Yngvar.  Go to Yggdrasil before army.  Thwart old god."

Summary of Events for Sunna's Return

Not a lot has happened since Sunna's last post.

You gave the guards the slip at Hillis' Inn.  You met Oscaronius at the meeting place.  You waited around a bit for Dunmeal to arrive.  Mord scouted ahead to see if anything was going on at Dunmeal's cellar.  Mord returned at the same time that Adiel arrived saying that he might've found Dunmeal who was in dire need of healers.  He led you to Dunmeal and some bystander dwarves.  Holly and Sunna healed Dunmeal, but he's still not conscious

Ragnar is with the majority of the party, and Ros will join you soon.  Sirrot is hiding on a balcony with a good view of the meeting place.

That was my read.  Don't want to lie, but doesn't want to irritate/notify/whatever his friends by acknowledging verbally.

Re: Dunmeal

Holly hasn't post since Feb12,  Sunna since January - come on guys.  That's killing the game.
We can't run a group storyline without the group posting.
If you need a break for RL reasons, then ask for it, and come back.
If you don't want to play, then gracefully bow out.
If you do, then post!  Describe!  Plot!  Interact!

Sirrot and I have said that we're good with daily or every second day.
