If Sirrot was to truly begin an adventuring career accompanying his newfound human friends from the Triplefang clan on their quest to stop the Elder God of Unnature he was going to need his gear and his faithful flying steed, Kurk.  With much of the Stronghold hunting him even otherwise simple tasks like this were made difficult, but Sirrot knew he was not without friends in Sloss Hinterplatz.

Clairlyn, the Matron of House Boril was torn about how to feel about her son becoming a Calaquende.  She was a dwarf first and a mother second, but Sirrot was her youngest and dear to her heart.  Sirrot believed he could convince her to help him.  On the other hand, his sister Fady was not so wrapped up in old racial hatreds and traditions.  She had always helped and protected Sirrot.  He knew she would take no convincing to help him.

His plan had been to visit both of them individually when and where he knew they'd be alone on the holiday of Zanbar Kelvyn, but now he needed to act sooner.  He knew he couldn't try to sneak into his family's home or the house hall.  Hunters would be waiting for him both places.  But where else could he find his mother or sister?  He thought of the gardens.  Both women loved the family gardens.  It was where his mother had chosen to have him brought back from death.  He might find one of them there, but it was so open and public.  The risk was very high.  Then Sirrot thought of the small river grotto.  It had the serenity of the gardens, but was much more private.  Fady and Sirrot had run off there countless times when they were younger to hide from the worries of daily life.  The grotto was one of Fady's favorite places in Sloss Hinterplatz.  Checking for her there was worth a try and was relatively safe.
