Re: (Konung) The Lesser Temple of Jormungandr

"Hold fast, Kordar, I'm on my way." said Konung.

For the moment, he had forgotten about the strange happenings. The prospect of gold and riches warmed his heart, and he hurried to Kordar to collect the treasure.

Re: (Konung) The Lesser Temple of Jormungandr

The treasure-rooms of Jor's Pride were packed. There was nothing except the occasional fish to disturb the gold, after all, and when Konung saw Kordar he saw him in a sea of gold.. goblets, gems, platters, swords of silver, jewelry of every variety, thousands of different forms of coin, several locked chests - perhaps containing more treasure, every form of valuable imaginable.. it filled the entire room.

Re: (Konung) The Lesser Temple of Jormungandr

"Kordar, there is only one way this ship is getting to Jormungandr.." Konung cackled, overcome with joy for his newfound riches.

"Take true form, Kordar, lift this vessel from its dormant grave and bring it back to Jormungandr. I will meet you there, and have our people ready to process the treasures!" he said.

And with this, Konung took off with great haste, eager to get back to Jormungandr, however, he figured he would pass through the North of Jormungandr, before heading back to the city.

Re: (Konung) The Lesser Temple of Jormungandr

"Yes," rasped Kordar.. and he became the Kraken.

Pale black skin turned into a dark obsidian.. the circular tatooes turned into their likeness, into suction cups.. stone formed, hardened.. two eyes became four, then eight, then sixteen, then thirty-two, then too many to count.. doubled, tripled, quadrupled, pentripled in size, became huge, a leviathan, great enough to heave the boat.. black saliva filled the sea as he changed, his relatively human form into a Cyclopean monstrosity, arms and legs into frighteningly forceful tentacles..

There was a groan; a groan that could wake the black sea.

He moved, suddenly and swiftly, and picked the entire ship up with ease. Slowly, carefully, the Kraken moved it into North Jormungandr, where he dumped it among the ruins..

Re: (Konung) The Lesser Temple of Jormungandr

"Hahaha!" Konung was loud and obscene, immensely happy.

"Kordar! Your work is but art, brother! Haha!"

"People of Jormungandr!" Konung called, directing his voice across the temple of Jormungandr.

"Come now, to the ruinous ship, and help your generals harvest the ship of it's riches. Crack every chest, harvest every ounce of treasure, and take it to the Gauntlet for safe-keeping" Konung commanded.

The Gauntlet was a huge stone vault situated in the back of Konung's throne room. The vault was home to all treasure and valuables to Konung, and the riches of Jormungandr.

Konung headed to the ship, to oversee the harvesting operation.

"Kordar, meh love, go now and rest" he communed to his precious Kraken.

Konung deeply loved Kordar, as he would family. He knew that his temple nor reign would be anything to fear without him.

Re: (Konung) The Lesser Temple of Jormungandr

Silently, dutifully, the Kraken swam off.. to sleep, perhaps, to rest against the rigors of the day.

Slowly, just as silently, the octopi people of Konung came, and shifted the gold to the Gauntlet. They did not - could not - complain. After a long few hours, the work was finally done, the Gauntlet filled and the ship an empty shell on the shore of Jormungandr..

Trading routes and pathways, it seems, was more than enough of a reason for a God of the Kraken to enter a desert.

Bright sand - terrible horror - the dead, they rise - shining gold -

And he was there, in Desolace.

Re: (Konung) The Lesser Temple of Jormungandr

Konung comes running, panting, and dives into the waters of Jormungandr.

Then, an almighty roar, and the sound of the skies splitting in two.

Kordar came through the surface of the water, taking his true form as a Kraken. He swam with almighty speed straight past Konung.

It was good to be home.

Konung had explored a decent amount of Jormungandr with Kordar, but there was one section left, that he would now travel alone.

Konung heads to the North of Jormungandr.

Re: (Konung) The Lesser Temple of Jormungandr

To the murky waters of the north..

A shining city!

A city made of light.. no, as Konung swum closer, he realised it wasn't a city, but an area where - for whatever reason - the sun's light shone straight through, past thousands of leagues, unto the bottom of the ocean. The light blinded Konung for a few moments.

"I .. cannot.." rasped Kordar, refusing to step within the light.

When Konung's eyes adjusted to the light, he saw a moving rainbow within it - thousands of healthy, normal fish swimming about in the brightness, untouched by any predator. The entire place felt sacred.. there was no black sand beneath the light, only white rock. It felt as if it were a temple - an alter - of some sort.

Re: (Konung) The Lesser Temple of Jormungandr

"What in the divine.." gasped Konung.

Such oceanic beauty he had never laid eyes upon before. The ever swirling mass of fish were heaven to his eyes.

He knew at once, this would be his avenue of trade, of business.

He would start the finest Fish Market in the Realm Supernatural.

First, he would have to harvest enough resources to fund his project.

He swum to his temple in Jormungandr, and used his gate of Methodes.

But, before he stepped in..

"Kordar, there is more work teh be done! Come with me, now." he communed to his ally.

"Take me to a random realm.." he uttered to the gate.

Desafon, finding himself in a bad situation, portal'd over here. He doesn't see himself much as calamari-bait, so he only achieves feeling happy with the life he still has. "What the hells was that being? Other than perhaps being a Mad God." He grumbles, before he now attempts to figure out just what the heck this location is. "Hello?"

He was on a long, dark, rotting pier. Around him, raging waves, on all sides. There was no land. The pier was connected to nothing, save perhaps for the darkest bottoms below..

Re: (Konung) The Lesser Temple of Jormungandr

Desafon finds himself in the strangest predicament. He sits down on the ground and moves his hand to make some light waves in the water. "Well, at least this isn't that accursed desert." Other than that, Desafon ponders just what to do. He isn't certain if a God could drown, but if he can dehydrate no doubt a God could drown. "This bloody well sucks."
Finding himself pretty much unable to do anything here, he tries to steady his nerves before he decides to portal back to his realm with the intention of running quickly back to his village.

Anik and the Calisti appeared here. Seeing the pier, he would first wait for a bit to see if the god would come to him. "Tell me if you detect anything out of the ordinary Calisti." He also used his own power on the pier.

Re: (Konung) The Lesser Temple of Jormungandr

The pier was made thousands of years ago. Too far - Anik could sense no more..

A man appears on the pier. He is slightly tall, ancient-looking, weathered face hidden by a flowing white beard. At his side, instead of a weapon, he has two fishing lines and a bucket of bait. He sits down and begins fishing.

Soon, he looks towards Anik.

"Hello, stranger," said the man. "New here, are you? Come, sit. I'm afraid the fish aren't biting today.."

Re: (Konung) The Lesser Temple of Jormungandr

Anik first trys to detect if this is the god of the realm, and where the god of the realm is. "Greetings, I am Anik God of Craft, associate of the Conclave. If any of these don't mean anything to you then I still offer you my humble greeting as one being to another." He says with a bow. "Sorry to hear about that, I'm sure your luck will change sometime." He does indeed take a seat on the pier even if there was non. Obviously with the gear he had on, he had expected to need to go under the water, but still it was just comfortable enough to wear on the pier. "Do you mind if I have a go." He remembered fishing, and a fisherman he once knew, he had used the man and the fish to practice his control over minds. Of course the man was repayed with a magic food and all the fish he made literally jump out of the water and into a fishing boat, this was just a passing though, one of the many bubbles of the past which came to surface.

"Of course," said the man, handing Anik another rod. "This is my favourite fishing spot."

Anik knew, in a flash of insight, that this God wasn't Konung.

He recognized the man from somewhere - the voice, the mannerisms - but from where.. ?

Fear rose within him - anxiety - and he couldn't place why, why, why..

"There's something soothing about it, isn't there? The waters, the fish.."

"Agreed, It can take your mind off things, relaxes you, even if your not good at it." Anik sees if the rod he holds can tell him anything about the man, as he did just hold it perhaps even just fish with it. Anik put his bait on the fishing hook and while doing so asked the man. "I feel as if we've met before, but I don't quite remember it... am I mistaken." He glances over at the Calisti to make sure he was still there with him. Anik didn't plan on running, he had business here, and intended to carry it out.

Anik knows that the rod was taken from a fisherman in another Realm, and was bought freely by the old man - as well as several other trivial details. Nothing distinctive about the man was given to him.

The old man smiles, looks towards Anik.

"Perhaps. We did meet, once, a long time ago. Before you built the ten spires - before Msonus dreamed them. Yes, friend, we met. But what is the past? Nothing to me - I am returned. As are you. So why don't we hush our questions, and fish for a little?"

"Alright." He says and throws his line out before slowly bringing it back in, making his bate pretend to be alive.. "Still it would be nice to know who I am speaking to, if you mind, even an Alis would be nice." A twitch in the line caused him to pull suddenly, but only caught more water. Internally he hoped he wouldn't end up catching Konung's creature. Speaking of which, he sensed for Konung in the realm while he fished absentmindedly.

Anik sensed Konung - far, far below.

"Ah, an alias," said the old man, looking at Anik's line with some curiosity. "Zanidow is the name I go by now. It is a good one. If from that you can glean my identity.. well, then all is well. I trust you well enough. But if not, let's continue fishing."
