Re: (Konung) The Lesser Temple of Jormungandr

That sounded like a challenge... While Anik cast the line again, he barely concentrated and just pulled the line in slowly. By the time he had reeled it all the way in he was smirking. "I see, but." He glanced over at the Callisti quickly, this time not to assure it still being there, but to let him know it was there. "So then." before throwing the line out again and sits letting it bob up and down a bit this time. "Just here to fish?"

The Callisti was watching, but seemed a little distant, as if it weren't fully paying attention.

"Aha," said the old man. "You realize, just saying my true name draws attention in all the right areas. I am here to fish, yes, but also to talk - with you, for I wish for a favour. A boon, if you will."

A small bob and he pulls on the line, but again empty. "I do realize, and of course I would hear you out. I owe you that much for the rod." He says casting out again.

"Yes. The rod - the experience - is an obligation."

The old man nodded.

"I like it here. Konung does not bother me - and if he ever would I'd vanish. He is a God of the older league, of strangeness and ferocity. Ocean Realms like this one are rare. So full of life.." He coughed. "But I must get to the point. Anik. Yes. You were - quite possibly are still - the finest Deity of Craft in this land. I need something from you. Explosives. As subtle as possible.. but enough to, say.." He paused for a moment, a smile on his lips. "Enough to destroy the entire Valley Divine. Do you understand my meaning, Anik?"

Re: (Konung) The Lesser Temple of Jormungandr

He thought for a moment, pausing on reeling back lost in thought, then tossing a concerned look. "Hypothetically..." He began to reel back in. "It could be done." Anik was obviously uneasy talking about this, flashbacks of working on something... something tested... something vowed never to use again, a single explosive that could destroy a realm... a world. But that was a different life, a different time, and his mind went back to the challenge at hand. "Of course, I wonders why one would ask that of me."

"I'm not asking you to wonder why," said the man. "Leave that to me. You are the how and the what, Anik. You know me to be of good character. I'm aware of your past research into explosives - the macrocosmic field still remains, you know, in the area of the first test. Reality is almost a hundred times as dense, there. Anything that steps within suddenly;y becomes a new person, a family of people.."

He sighed.

"I can pay you, of course."

Re: (Konung) The Lesser Temple of Jormungandr

Anik sighed a bit, not even noticing his line bob as a fish nibbled at his bait. Everything logical was telling him not to accept a stranger's offer. "Memories" he said. "I like the memories to create what I once created, to know what I once knew, I don't even know what I did. I could make modern nuclear technology, but I'm sure there are protections. Supernatural wise would be destructive, but nothing like... the past."

He wondered for a moment. "Payment is not an issue because I cannot give what would be paid for." He thought for a moment. "After this mission... I shall be given a research grant. The conclave are always looking for weapons I'm so I'm sure they'd fund me in a heartbeat. Then I will have the means, and perhaps the memories, to make deals." He said.

Thinking quickly he added "I do trust you, its the world I don't trust."

"Ah. The world.. yes, the world," said the old man. "Anik, child, you do not want me to seek out another who would make me this bomb. You do not want to miss this offer. You would be doing Yggdrasil a great service.. and I can get you as many Crailek Stones as you need. Money is not an issue."

He smiled.

Re: (Konung) The Lesser Temple of Jormungandr

Anik paused to think about it for only a moment. He had a point... he wasn't the only person who could provide the explosives, so logically the valley (if it was the target) was doomed anyway) especially if he knew this god. Anik had survived long enough to know when to get on an when to get off the waves of power, and right now this was defiantly a get on. "Alright then you have yourself a craftsmen, but I'll likely try something new since my memories seem to be lacking in key areas."

"As long as it causes an equal amount - or more - destruction than your macrosuperweapon, that is quite fine," said the God. "I have complete faith in you. Yes.. complete. How many stones will you be needing? I will come to check up on you, of course, in the future. Protect my investment."

He smiles, know that a protection of investment meant also meant to make sure everything was going to plan. "Of course, I am here to do something... I should get it done, but lets saw we meet here in 2 tree-weeks for a stats report. As for stones, conclave wise I might need a couple hundred to buy supplies and raw material, Crailek wise... I have no idea what those are which leads me to my second point. If you have any information that may lead me to acquire my memory back, it would be a considerable jump forward."

"Memory, memory, memory.. truth be told, I have lost much of my own. I may have memories to give you, however, and if I can they will be paid to you upon the completion of such an explosive. Crailek Stones? Ahmm.. you'll find two thousand in your account. Yes. Conclave Stones. So you will do as I ask, Crafter?"

Re: (Konung) The Lesser Temple of Jormungandr

Anik nodded. "Yes of course, but like I said, this sort of thing will need time, especially if I am to reinvent the wheel so to speak. Until we meet again, roses at your feet Zanidow." Anik was intensely curious about all of this. He would need to get his memory back before he completed the explosives, which he had every intention of completing as ordered. Yes most defiantly, for he felt that mistakes like this one had made... the information slip, meant something greater was afoot than a simple crafting job. For some reason Anik felt played even as he left.

He was about to go down when all the sudden. "Aw damn it. I forgot about light..." All packed up ready to go and now he wasn't ready. Always forgetting something. "Callisti, I don't have anything to allow me to see in the dark depths, I shall have to remedy that. Would you mind waiting workshop in my realm for a while? Or would you prefer to go about other duties until I am ready once more?" If the Callisti has nothing else to suggest he would head back to his realm to get some required equipment.

I will remain here. I am a friend to the old God and have several messages from my brothers and sisters to communicate to him. Be quick, Associate Anik. Roses at your feet.

There were thousands of great trees - locked secrets beneath hallowed wood - a strange green - the burning red -

And he was back in Bounty.

Anik came back in, somehow this was both a fast and slow trip... not much was done, and much time had passed, though it seemed time had spun up and left everyone in the dust. Anik looked for the Callisti.

The water was cold, and dark. Sharp prickles made their way up Anik's body as he fell through the depths, soon replaced with a semi-comfortable warmth. It was dark, below. There was no fish.

Re: (Konung) The Lesser Temple of Jormungandr

He shouldn't have a problem with darkness anymore with the Lens of Crailek, a Divine Item, not magical. He used his own sense to scene the direction of the god here. He swam in that direction, make sure he wasn't dropping too fast he couldn't stop himself.

((With the mask only murkiness would inhibit his vision.))

Re: (Konung) The Lesser Temple of Jormungandr

Soon, the darkness parted, and Anik could see down below - murkiness obscured his vision, but he knew that the waters went extremely deep. He sensed Konung .. vaguely to the west, and traveled that way. He passed several schools of strange fish, saw the distant ruins of some great city, and eventually came upon a place made of solid white rock, where sudden beams of light cut down upon the stone itself..

In the brightness, Anik couldn't see the God, but he knew Konung was in this area.

Anik lifted the Lens a bit to see in the lighter parts of the water. It seemed that the inverse darkness was a penalty here since somehow light had penetrated beyond what it could naturally could. He headed in towards the bright city... wondering if the god would come out since someone obviously was wanting him.

Soon, a distant figure came - murky at first, and then solid.. Konung.

"Business?" he grunted, armed with a shining harpoon. His tone was gruff, and the sounds traveled clearly through the water.

Re: (Konung) The Lesser Temple of Jormungandr

Anik nodded his, wishing he had telepathy, but for now... writing would have to do. He then showed his Seal of Odin (the conclave badge thing) and pointed to the Callisti. Anik concentrated and the water around his hand began to change into ice. The small ball began to grow from one hand to the other into a pole, then a large brick of ice, it was quite easy with his power of manipulation and magics, though the pressure did make it significantly harder, and it would quickly melt if he didn't continuously hold the "frozen" water with his power. On the ice holes appeared which said.

*Have anything hard?*

((The ice would have a slight negative weight actually, since it would have less density than the water (though only slightly since I am using my power to keep it at a much higher density than normal ice, hence why it would dissipate if I stopped concentrating on it.))

*Rock or metal.* The ice now said, then *Easier to write* Consentrating on keeping the ice made it hard to continue, with natural rock or metal he could engrave entire paragraphs in seconds. He was glad that he seemed to be cooperative though.
