(Foun) The Lesser Isles of Penta

Risen from the sea where it had been put to sleep so long ago. It has broken no longer one island, but five each with a strange lighthouse upon it in ruins. The northern isle was the green forests of Kol-shoon the fragment of Foun's people dedicated to earth. Now the forests are frozen and the land is covered in ice. The eastern isle was the great mountains of the towered cities now all ruins and covered in the shadow of a great thunder storm. The southern isle home to the now dormant volcano that once powered the fire city of Sparkania is now covered in sand. The western isle the proud coral city of the Karakians belonging to water is now frozen like it's brother city Kol-shoon. The middle city utopia the city of spirit where the magic and psionic people lived is silent and cold. This will take a great deal of rebuilding to even reach a fraction of it's original glory. The lighthouses are inactive everything slumbers under ice, sand, and ash.

The varied people of Penta are not yet awake, but Foun hopes to resurrect them. His people are called the 'un-lived'.

They are grey, metallic, and almost transparent. These people are absorbers although they can only absorb once. They absorb DNA and can adapt and evolve although they can only absorb a DNA code once in their life. This makes them quick learners and adapters. Foun hopes to use this to make them absorb the DNA of penta's old people and perhaps bring the isle back to life. A 'living' or being whose absorbed is no longer a 'un-lived' but whatever they absorbed and became. They reproduce asexually through splitting in two and growing from that point.

They are loyal and almost unthinking until they absorb. Basically computers until they they talk in a monotone mechanical voice. Tall and thin they have no faces and when they speak sparks seem to go off in their metallic like dome heads. Although not good at fighting, incapable of magic or psionic, they are also hard to kill able to change the density and shape of their bodies at will. Their culture is itself very emotionless they have no family or religion or grouping they will simply stand around until they get orders. If their is any 'dream' of the people it is to absorb DNA so they may become 'living'. They do not feel they are actually real until they have done this.

Re: (Foun) The Lesser Isles of Penta

A strange sensation goes through his body. Parts of his mind seem gone as if he just awoke from a strange dream that he can't seem to remember. Looking about he see's the realm before him ancient giants in his mind shake off the dust of time. So... you're still here He moves forward testing the limits of his own strength as he finds himself able to walk he continues moving forward toward the first thing he see's. Penta... you've been gone so long... Now your isle rises without you. Gone so long when the dragon sunk his teeth into you. I shall awaken your legacy I swear it. He looks up into the sky and allows his energy to leave him and feel around.

Re: (Foun) The Lesser Isles of Penta

It was freezing cold. Snow descended, slowly and peacefully, to the earth.. the trees were gnarled, frozen, dead. The earth was strong, but brittle. This was Kol-shoon, once.. but it had undergone such drastic changes that Penta didn't immediately recognise it. No being came to meet him.

He was alone.

He nodded it made sense to him things would have been frozen in the depths of the ocean. He starts making his way to the south. To the ruins of utopia his old central city. Things would more likely be in a similar state of despair through out the entire isle. He will not do much to repair it yet. He wished to see if the central city was as bad. Hopefully the old relics the lighthouses could be the key to the revival of this isle.

Re: (Foun) The Lesser Isles of Penta

The city was silent.

As Foun walked the empty streets, nothing came to watch. Nothing came to announce the return of the their Lord. A chill filled the air, but that was all - there were no bugs, no birds. Rubble lay everywhere. The only light came from the dark moon above, and even then it was mostly obscured by cloud. The smell was crisp and clean, unlike the proper smells of life and festivity that once filled Utopia..

He studies the area and starts his advance to the ruined lighthouse. Once the sources of life in his old isle perhaps if brought back to life themselves the rest of the isle would follow. Where were his people there had to be some kind of remnant. I whisper to you isle, Come to me you remnants of life all that is left here come forward so that I may see you! Although he doubted yelling into the mist would help anything perhaps no result would come of it, but still it was worth a try. If nothing came of it he would do his best to revive the lighthouse it was his only hope.

Turns to him, ignoring the creature now and the ruined lighthouse. The cold wind blowing ashes across the tundra that was once utopia. Hello crailek, I apologize for the state of my realm. It seems that ages under the sea has made it into quite the wasteland, but on to deeper matters. I ... I have this still. I ... barely remember the things that passed, but I hoped perhaps ... you could refresh my mind, although my heart needs no reminders. He holds up the engagement ring.

Re: (Foun) The Lesser Isles of Penta

Anik thinks for a moment and after seeing Foun's idea. "No lets focus on saving, then repairing, I can make his a better one anyway." He grabbed Foun's arm. "Alright if you say anything, then anything quickly it is. You need to relax your arm." He grabs his knife out of its sheath, a hunting knife sharp enough to split a hair longways. He then has Foun hold out his hand brings the knife up and then with a single swing, Foun's hand is cut clean (so clean it takes a second for it to register. He quickly brings the stump of the hand and puts it to the bloody shoulder stump. "Lie down next to him."

Foun would feel something like a tingle though his arm as Anik's power flowed into it, then suddenly the tingle turned to excrusiationg pain as Anik concentrated on moving the arteries in Foun's arm to match the veins of Craileks shoulder, which he only studied with his senses but didn't move. Once they were a match he would connect them, allowing the blood from the Foun's hand move into the veins of Crailek. "Alright, still needs some touch-ups, and this is only temporary." He then went back into the connection and began to trasfuse the tissue and skin together. "I need both of you to lie down for a while while. The combination of trasfusion and normal speedy god healing will take its course. But I'll take another look inside Crailek to make sure there isn't anything bad inside."

He used his powers to look deep inside Craileks body to find out what other things might be wrong with him.

Anik went over to their connection and then instead of just cutting he used his power to first go in and cause the nerves around the area to be disconnected, then he began detaching the area where Foun's forearm connected to Crailek's shoulder sub. Once everyone was back to themselves he picked up Foun's hand, which by this point was pretty pale, though nowhere near rotted. "Alright reconnecting it would only have about a 20% chance with a mortal, but since your a god... who knows." He then reattached the hand, it would have been really easy to reconnect if he hadn't messed with it to attach it to Crailek, it was a pretty clean cut. "Now bed-rest both of you, there's not much else I can do now, I'm no healer, I'm a craftsmen. Now then, I do have things to do so I'll have to talk to you later. You can always come see me in the library in the new Valley."

"Well, I am in need of that ability right now. Do you mind if I use some of your blood? I need to make some alterations to my goggles." Anik set aside some of the silicon in a ball (it just seemed to roll off of the solid stick). He then took off an began to alter his goggles.

The first layer of plastic is reinforced with some strengthened glass (quickly reforming the quarts and silicon to make glass). It sifted and twisted before the two gods in Anik's hands. He nodded at it was made. Inside the initial lens there was second hollow (though only microscopically so) lens with a several micro pinhole at the top. To the two gods of course, it just looked like he made it slightly thicker. "Alright, now I just need some blood if I may." He focused on a small piece of extra silicon and glass and suddenly it became a capillary tube, prefect for drawing out blood in miniature amounts at a time, something a god would replace in just a small time after the letting.

Anik now having the Blood of Crailek poured it on the Goggles... except the blood didn't move. Fighting gravity any a small stream moved through the air. "Forgot to put an air hole, he says quickly putting on in so as the blood flows into the lens it would pus the air out. Upon reaching full capacity though (the pint nowhere near gone) the blood began to disappear... the lens sucking it up greedily as a newborn. Dark shadowy Swirls could be seen in the visor until it was completely black, darker even than the surrounding plastic eating all light that came in, to all viewers (except though who could naturally see through the shadows) looking into the goggles. Anik put them on. "Interesting, A world of darkness, it's as if Darkness has a brightness to it I would never have known. To see the world through another gods eyes, fascinating."

He thought for a moment. "Do me a favor, come to the funeral, the one named Ayar is there (though he is a counsel man so don't approach uninvited). I don't remember him at all... and I never met him before the towers so a little help would be appreciated. Also we can speak there."

He remembered that the essence of souls had been used in the end when he... no Penta had put the isle to sleep. He couldn't do that again, not to his people. First things first the lighthouse design. Here he decided to sit and rest asking the people to go fetch drink and food for nourishment if they could find it if they could not they should nourish themselves the best they could. Then he turned to crailek, If I remember the lighthouse was empowered by the essence of nature and in turn empowered nature itself. Let's see I built it or penta did, I wonder if I can remember the design... He meditated upon it for a moment he needed to remember the base design of course there was the temple quarters and such where the nekos worshipped the earth element they represented. He tried to remember the science though he remembered that the earth lighthouse drew on the elemental essence of earth that there was an 'orb' that powered it... He remembered the years he spent carving the guardians of the orb and the way he spent sweating over the creation of the top of the lighthouse... He needed to remember these things.

He tried to remember it all his journey to madness and the masters he had along the way. This was a path he did not want to take again there was something dangerous and uncertain to it, but he would find that orb. Sitting down he began to meditate on the memories and think. Crailek what do you think? How should we continue? Do you think the mad ones would have allowed the orb to stay here? Foun felt a blur form around him, as if the entire world was rushing past him at an unimaginable speed, as felt a huge loss of power as the transaction took place. It wasn't his divine abilities, or anything he held, that fled, but rather potential itself: he felt the Degree of Power be ripped, burnt, sucked from him and he fell..

Crailek saw both the creature and Foun disappear in a blinding flash of light. After a few minutes pass, he'll have regained his sight, but all that is left to see is a strangely intricate circular marking - made, it looked, of silver - carved onto the ground.

Re: (Foun) The Lesser Isles of Penta

Hours passed - a night passed - as Foun struggled with his task, but eventually the records were complete, the copies finished.

Re: (Foun) The Lesser Isles of Penta

He sighed now and began to set up the greatest spell he may ever cast in this world. A spell to ensnare, trap, and test any who try to rise the isle. Any who try to take from it what he was to leave behind. It may take days or years for him to finish, but he would work determined to finish what he started in some way.
To those who would finish my work, only those with a heart of a hunter of truth. Only those who have read what I've written and dedicated themselves to my path. Only a true hunter may pass and take what I leave in your safe keeping.

Re: (Foun) The Lesser Isles of Penta

Foun, with unusual prescience, felt alarmed as he began the preliminary invocations before the mighty sorcery. He felt as if he were to continue that he'd be struck down by a force larger, wilder than himself, possibly be destroyed utterly. Foun wasn't as great a magician as he once was, and he estimated that such a spell could - perhaps would - take decades, but even if he had the time.. did he have the strength?

Re: (Foun) The Lesser Isles of Penta

He stops looking up he asks that which is unseen, I suppose you wish me to trust you to do this then? Well of course I do. I suppose it is my own fault, I only wish to be certain that they earn what I leave behind. I do not want these things to be easy for them... very well I trust you and I will leave it as it is. He takes the sleeping terre morte and stabs it into the ground. I only ask that you allow the isle to sink once more to go into the sea as it has done before. If those who wish to follow my path are true then they will find a way to make it rise once more...
He opens the portal to leave, but waits he wishes to see if he was heard if the isle will once more go to the sea. Terre morte his sacred weapon would go with it this time, perhaps if the one who follows his path is worthy... then they may awaken it's true power once more...

Re: (Foun) The Lesser Isles of Penta

The power of sinking an island is needed, and given, ripped from its Lord in exactly the same way power was taken to create another Penta; regardless, the island very slowly began to sink beneath the waves with a wailing, a screeching, the scream of stone on stone. Terra Morta would be forever lost.

He looks up and smiles, I trust that you will open the path to those who can prove themselves... I suppose this is the last of it... goodbye my home... goodbye terre morte... although I remember now your truth we shall not be separated for long. With that he leaves this place.

Re: (Foun) The Lesser Isles of Penta

Silently, the Isles gave their own goodbye. Perhaps Foun would return to Yggdrasil, if there would ever be an Yggdrasil to return to; perhaps not. A certain peace came over the place as it bade its Lord farewell.
