Max, its fine. Seriously, to me you equal out my irritation at work. Seriously, I don't take offense to you generally. Sometimes there's a comment here or there, but that's everybody. Its hard for me lately to be optimistic so I've gone all broody.

Re: OOC V: At the Courts of Chaos

Re Desafon's post: #827 in OOC V, the 2nd para (The 1st was a one liner, so 1st main paragraph)

This is pretty much my position.

As I said, I find most of max's stuff quaint, but quaint in a way where you see embedden sexism against women that women perpetuate. It's quaint, but highly disturbing.

Max, open up to people, but know the place to do it. The OOC is not that place.
Maybe you should get a livejournal?
or make sure that the people you're telling do want to know what you have to contribute. A lot of the stuff you've said in this and other chats (and just on Dust alone) has been stuff that I would feel hesitant to discuss with people I've known face-to-face for several years, not a person who I've only interacted with in a fantasy setting via the interweb.

Des, don't 'worry' about your PMS. We all do it at some stage :D Worry about what I'm going to do to your realm :o

Re: OOC V: At the Courts of Chaos

Okay guys, I've read everything here. I'm going to apologize everyone present within this discussion simply for it being made public. I will admit to having an ulterior motive here. I realized whatever explosion that would happen after would affect the community as a whole and so I wanted to keep it that way; as much as I am a fan of the police-state authoritarian way of running things I'm also a fan of total transference. I don't how I handled it, but I do regret having to do so. Sorry.

Second of all, some clarification: maybe it was because I was overtired or something but I never meant to imply that Max would lose two whole Degrees - the stance was that he'd lose one whole Degree plus whatever he lost for meta-gaming before. Sorry about that mix up.

Third, another apology towards Max. I was overtired, I over-reacted. I still don't regret the punishment - we both fucked up there, let's be realistic - but I've dropped it to THIRTY PERCENT PENALTY if you now do everything Ruse asks for you. And you are to make a promise to yourself that you will make an effort not to metagame in the future. It's often unavoidable - everyone does it in small ways - but it has become a large problem. I've promised not to overreact again.

I'd also like that apology to me. I'm hurt by your outbursts here and in Kookhe. Especially in Kookhe. If you meant them, then you have no place here or in any further game I run. If you didn't, apologise, and we can return to being brothers again. :)

Also, for clarification, yes, your powers all work through me. Which is part of the reason you summoning the Logos - which, while you were slightly correct in that you might be getting a Logos, you were completely off in the how and why part of things - annoyed me so much. Just the fact that you were getting it was me working through your powers. You still can, if we clear all this up. In addition you are never to claim that you are quitting again. That tactic is immensely childish, power-hungry and has left a bad taste in my mouth ever since Metatron. Express your displeasure with me; claim that if we can't sort it out you'll have to leave; but don't just rant and quit.

I will, however, continue to fine percentage for metagaming (and otherwise offensive) posts. I'm not going to be a Nazi about it - most of the time it's an honest mistake - but yeah, everyone just be careful.

In addition, Max, you are to give your honest thanks to Ruse. He is the only one that saved your arse. I knew that you were bluffing when you spoke about quitting the game, but it was Ruse that made me see the light. You owe the guy a massive debt; he's been looking after you for as long as I can recall.

If there are no further problems, then why don't we all e-hug it out. If there are.. I'm listening.

Shifting Master Ruse the Second, Zealous God of Mist:
I will not yell at Anik

Damn right you won't, I'll yell right back you ya prik ;)

As for how all this played out I think we have learned 2 things:

1: You can pretty much get away with anything as long as you make a big deal about it in a very public way.

2: The OOC is offically gone from "crappy" to "fucked up".

Now since we have learned that I say we do the following:
From now on if you have a problem with anyone (GM with player, player with player, player with GM). Keep it in a PM (and not a mass PM to everyone either). All someone has to do is say "can you guys move it to a PM" and they should, else their just being rude. Personally I don't think we need EVERYONEs opinion on matters between just 2 people.

I saw we delete and restart that way we can move on to happier thinigs to talk about... and let the PEOPLE INVOLVED take their arguments to the PMs and everyone else can get on with life.

Ruse, i think I owe you two whole degrees for this :P Heh. Not to mention the number of time you cover me IC.

It's strange to hear an apology.. I do lots of them here and in RL, but I don't think I've ever gotten one before. Thank you. You are very much forgiven. And I apologize for any hurt I did you with my outburst.

(historic moment) I support Anik's movement. A new OOC would be good. So would be "not-everyone's-buisness" clause.

Re: OOC V: At the Courts of Chaos

Heh.

One of the themes that's going to pop up soon is that the closer Maxillita gets to becoming truely good and divine, she loses her humanity; knowledge of all that has come before, knowledge of what will come to pass, the power to obliterate those who would oppose you, and seeing the flaws of even the most virtuous mortal.. soon it becomes not good and evil, but the perfect and imperfect, those who hinder and those who help, and it's easy to become a wrathful being. The lines between you and your foe blur; what makes your genocide of his followers different from his genocide of your people?

Maxillita was, previously, following along those lines, becoming more arrogant and self-important, willing to kill over the smallest infraction. This duel has taught her humility.

It's something I toyed with a bit with Rizzun vs. Dragon- Dragon was courteous and humble, but used others to his own ends (though in my view his giving his runes to everyone vindicated him) while Rizzun was an honourbound god who believed himself superior to all other gods; hence his stance as Protector of Mortals and Elder Brother of the Gods.

Ah, character development. How I love it.

Unfortunatly it's only character development if it's done with one character. Perhaps this may be called something along the lines of mood swings with the author.

What the frack.

No seriously, what the hell.
Why?
Who?

Why did they steal my name?
Freakin' Warcraft players, man.

And... The author of The Ashen Dream... or Lazt Paladin, whatever, I dunno. It's like.. two separate titles.

Well okay, not steal. Just... That's really creepy.

Heys, There's not a single other Max at any school I've been to, and I've been to 7.

I've only ever met one other one face to face (at camp), and we were EXACTLY ALIKE. We become blood brothers.

Why people so often mix me and my gay bestfriend up and call me matt I will never know.

EDIT: Are heroes supposed to terrify you?

Re: OOC V: At the Courts of Chaos

Anik isn't really a popular "person name". And I just learned to day

Wikipedia:
In Inuktitut, Anik means "little brother"

huh. cool. Kind of matches him when he first started playing. I literally just got mine from going through a generator (one that was seemed to just throw letters together). Forgot which one, but Anik was actually only part of the name, I think I took out a letter in the first part and dropped the rest. I am trying to strain but I think it was like "Annikon" or "Annikron" something like that.

Yeah guys, I should have internet RIGHT NOW but due to actual bank fuckups (as opposed to false bank fuckups) I won't have it until, say, tomorrow or the next. I do still love you. Posts will resume shortly.

I"m still getting over a local Melbourne comic covnention and the absolute fuckstorm that went on there.

In regards to names: even though I am certain Sura didn't realise this when he was creating the character, a "Surah" is one of many sacred chapters within the Qur'an. Considering the influences upon the Cult of Osiris-Ra, this does amuse me.
