Master Divine:
What he pulled in the Duel was roughly equivalent to Ruse stating within Alkan that, "The Lord of Mist felt something stir from deep within him. It was a love, the love of Yggdrasil, and in that love he felt the protection of the Tree flow over him.."
This seals the deal. I now know what my very first sacrament power will be:
Aegis of the Forelorn Aussie.
------------
Everyone: I totally understand where you are coming from and a lot of it is right. I still just think this would leave a bad taste in my mouth, though, so I'm still throwing myself at the mercy of the court - especially Nat - if only because that's my schtick here in the ooc. My plea for mercy stands, and I firmly ask that you all spare Max. Please.
Max: Nat basically redacted his wrath from what it was doen to a mere 30%. You need to take this and run with it. Just edit your posts, stop flipping out, enjoy the game, and apologize to everyone for your outburst. I will continue begging for mercy on your behalf, but you WILL do several things in exchange and this is not negotiable anymore. Otherwise,
I'm throwing you to the hounds:
1.) You will edit the posts in question like Nat requested, in the way he has requested. Remove all forms of metagaming - accidential or otherwise - from them.
2.) You will stop flipping out at us. If something does not go your way, it is not the end of the world. Sometimes setbacks are set ups for comebacks. Look at Ruse and Aesin for Christ sake! But it's a game and should NOT evoke these sorts of reactions in you in ooc. You also will not redesign or kill your character when they lose a fight - unless it's your last life lol.
3.) You will enjoy the game and make decisions that fit your concept, and then accept the consequences - good and bad - of those decisions.
4.) You will apologize to everyone for this outburst, and then apologize again to Nat in particular. Your reaction, while perhaps having some threads of righteousness in it, has totally mutated into a monstrosity through you over-reacting. There is a better way to voice your dissent than this.
5.) You will stop emotionally investing TOO MUCH in your characters. It is okay to care about a character. I sure do about mine. However, at the end of the day if a meteor strikes Austrailia and kills Nat, or thunder blows the RPOL servers, the republicans take over, or some other catastrophic event, know that you will still be you with your life and personality and everything carrying on. Losing a fight should be an "aw darn" moment, and nothing more. It is not like losing an arm. I want you to care about your roleplay and writing but make sure it remains subservient to real life Max. Your character and you ONLY share a common name and that's ALL.
6.) I also fully expect you to issue an apology in Kookhe as well, publically. That was unnecessarily vindivtive.
7.) While I agree Anik can be a dick sometimes - and God bless his heart because he introduced me to Theo - I do not want to see any more purposeful ooc "jabs" at him. So you guys aren't as hunky dorey as you and I may be? So what - you still need to respect each other and I will not yell at Anik when he mistreats you if you are going to turn around and do the same thing, because it isn't nice! I want you to be respectful in the ooc at all times.
8.) Tone down slightly on the doom and gloom. You're a teenager so I expect some of this and lord knows I'm an emo in hibernation or stasis waiting to blossom. However, you need to realize that your life right now is ultimately trite and it won't be like this as an adult unless you let it. The doom and gloom is fine to a point but don't let it leak into your gaming.
9.) Take the -30% degree reduction and nod your head. It's a hell of an improvement from 2 whole degrees, lol.
