Re: OOC V: At the Courts of Chaos

I would argue that Msonus' situation is different because his ritual is an ongoing effect allowing him to maintain a presence in the alternate timeline. That would explain why his spell changed since it is technically an active spell still. Otherwise, we'd of heard of magical effects canceling or changing on a mass-level by now I'm sure, especially the conclave people.

I also am very intrigued by Nat exploring the concept of a "good osiris-Ra."

Re: OOC V: At the Courts of Chaos

To be fair Msonus only thought about opening the portal to another time and then jumping in; not establishing patterns and the like. But even the established stuff is going just a little bit nuts, though, but most of the wards within the Conclave Valley are already being looked at and maintained. Msonus was playing with a Subtle magic; he was going to get shafted either way :p

As for the Sorcerers of Alkan.. they're either very, very pissed (to the point where Lharazed is RIGHT NOW crushing a meeting that would discuss defecting from the Conclave) or morbidly depressed.

Yeah, that theory makes sense. I'm sticking with that one.

And a good Osiris-Ra is one where Osiris is off fighting the Mad Gods while Ra keeps the home safe.. it is a weird world. Odin and Thor had to die to make it happen.

Wow, Ruse. I just read your last post in Apath. That was... staggeringly stupid, though maybe I'm being too harsh. At what point did telling an assassin that you owned his people, his people's lands, that you were going to take what you wanted, and give some of it back in ways that you saw fit, seem like a good idea?

You probably should have stopped talking after your second sentence.

And here I thought showing up in Alkan after hearing there was a 9 in 10 chance he was doomed was the stupid part of Ruse's week ;)

You can add mucking around with a ward created by someone who had every reason to include him SPECIFICALLY in the ward as a threat to Ruse's list.

Is it?

MAX, GET OUT OF RUSE'S ACCOUNT. STOP MAKING HIM TARNISH HIS (ALMOST) SPOTLESS CAREER WITH RANDOM ACTS OF STUPIDITY. I'M WARNING YOU.

Little did we know, Ruse and Max were both played by the same person, a student working on their master's thesis for acting.

Re: OOC V: At the Courts of Chaos

LOL you guys.

My character decisions make sense to me, even if they don't make sense to you.

And Ruse doesn't know about Balast. And he has a duty to the tree and the conclave so can't just not go to Alkan. And the Apath thing...well, he's trying to be level to level with the assassin. The important thing is that he is far less imperialistic than the previous high lords ever were.

I just need to do what's most fun for me at this point, and also what makes most sense to me at the time, even if it doesn't make sense to anyone else.

Yeah, those are all really good reasons for screwing up majorly, I'll admit. And the fact that you said 'LOL' instead of 'Oh no my life is filled with misery and a black, treacherously sexy Mongoose of despair which I think I should date what do you guys think? I am now officially Samoan oh god my life is so meaningless I QUIT!' convinces me you aren't Max. Touche, kind sir.

Less imperialistic? Seriously? Oi. I don't know whether to give you a brief lesson via PM, or if I should just patiently wait for MD to illustrate the lesson much more effectively with an uprising.

Na I am far past my childhood poor sportsmanship phase. Wisdom with years I guess. If my character dies, he dies. but I'll never just rage-quit. Really, I couldn't if I wanted to since I have an achievement that prevents me from doing so, lol.

At the rate things are going, my character will most likely end up with ultimate power but most of his people and allies will be dead or messed up. And that's fine...I mean I'll try to work against such a lonely fate but if it happens, it happens. Ultimately, I am here to have fun and while I sometimes over-emotionally invest in my games and characters, at the end of the day it is just a game and being a big twat about things isn't constructive for anyone.

ON BITES: Oh, rawr. I had one girl specifically biting my neck today. I have the most interesting girlfriends.

ON THE DUEL: I'm a goddess of Fantasy, OF COURSE IT'S GOING TO BE LIKE A SHONEN MANGA. Time for SUPER SAIYAN MAXILITA.

ON ME AND RUSE BEING THE SAME PERSON: That would be freaky because I have an Emo Rmail with him where I discuss issues worse than anything I would put on the OOC here, bless his soul.

ON NAT: Hey, the worst thing that happens is that I die.. and why did I lose Degree percentage!? I haven't broken your rules!

Trying to channel the departed Chaly's format, Max? I don't think he's a source of power you want to touch on.

Heh. There are significant differences between System Logic and Chaly.

Actually, I slightly take offense to that, Max. Fantasy and Manga/Anime are two separate things that can become a Fantasy/Manga or Fantasy/Anime, but don't associate the two as the same. Judge me how you want, but I seriously dislike almost every piece of anime I have seen and though I am one of the rare few, I don't like Anime but I seriously love Fantasy.

Also, as a side note not related to Max, I think I am going to be getting ejected from the Valley soon if Pitcarn pushes the envelope.
