Re: OOC VI: Perfection

I am the Alpha and the Omega, Ruse. I match your divinity, outshine you in sorcery, and crush you in combat.

The world will bow before the Knights of the Shattered Sword, and the Sun-Drake will feast upon your bloated corpse.

Or, you can be my mate and rule beside me. Choose your fate.

Re: OOC VI: Perfection

Don't get cocky.

Your psychic power won't do much against Ruse, he is a grand magus himself and if things go right the urge itself is going to be his lapdog. As for divinity...well you may be a master now but Ruse is the original master. :)

In combat skill though, yes you'd crush him. But you'd never get your hands on him to do so though.

I'd enlighten you, but I'm not so silly as to show my hand.

Sura- me and you, we're more alike than you can possibly imagine.

Re: OOC VI: Perfection

I would...except as a player I am opting for a much more interesting method of dealing with it. While either dying or your way may be more quick and efficient, my way is more fun and potentially profitable. Of course, it is taking me a while to do and I'll have to work for it, but that's half the fun and also will make me appreciate it more. not to mention be more interesting in terms of my gaming experience.

Shifting Master Ruse the Second, Zealous God of Mist:
Also, unless you are absolutely purposeful in striking against the experienced people, we sort of have an unwritten rule saying we don't pick on the new characters. At least not kill them anyway. We like to fatten you up first. :)

Heh. First week of playing, Max comes into my realm and challenges me to a duel. Max had meant that for good reasons, but he still meant to challenge me. :)

As for the DM saying we all break rules... I have not ever broken a rule. Unless you count my 'Unknown' character. But nobody knew he broke the rules except the GMs. In fact, pretty much nobody knew I even existed outside of being either an NPC or a DM until I broke the silence when the game was over. :)

EDIT: Also, further note, I spent 2 degrees to
1) Be the first to Ferocious and...
2) Because I was seriously hoping that it would put me on some sort of balanced ground with the magic-based people. I mean, yeah they can blow up entire lands or something or other before even the tier/rank 4 in magic, but I was kind of hoping that being a rank (5? 6?) in Fighting/Melee would be some sort of marvelous.

Re: OOC VI: Perfection

Congratulations on ferocious!

As for the newbie protection thing, Max is an exception to the rule and I don't even know if he'd have killed you or not. but even in Dust itself the community observed it. I mean Ruse could have easily went off and killed a bunch of you who went on vacation or rolled new toons, but of course he didn't and actually he did the reverse and got a big brother title. :)

Just to illustrate what I mean.

In rebirth, people were mostly pretty good about not ganking oceanus when he first was rolled. Saragh tried to hunt him later on but that wasn't malice on the player's part. I guess the community just realizes it isn't too classy, you know? Even if it is an unwritten rule and we could go around punking whoever we wanted if we wished to, but we don't. :)

@ Crailek: I see what you did there...

@ Fierce: I don't play with mine, either. I manipulate it, create it, destroy it, command it, improve it, consume it, change it, imperil it and most importantly, rule it. But then again, as a god of Food, that is my job :P
