Wind of Fate, Crew Quarters/Main Deck, 620 NA

All is quiet belowdecks, with only the light breathing of the sleeping Aalistair and Mirna, each still bloodstained from combat.

The windship sways gently on its northward journey.

J'landria moves into the area, looking for Wraith.  She sees the warrior woman and the priest sleeping and she smiles a little, she moves deeper into the area and looks to see if he's sleeping farther back where he's not immediately visible.

J'landria finds wraith tucked away in the back, his wounded leg stretched out.  As he sees J'landria approach, a warm smile slides across his face.

"Let me look at... that," she tells him quietly.  "Athellin will need you to... relieve him shortly."

She reaches into a pouch and pulls from it a few berries, humming a little she moves them around in her hand, all the while purring.  She says a few quiet words and then hands the berries to Wraith.  When he's holding the fruits she looks at the leg and nods, slowly and carefully touching the area around the wound.

"Eat," she says with a gesture.

"Thank you,"
says Wraith, gently, and eats the berries, immediately beginning to feel better.  "I am glad that you are among us," he says.  "Yours is a wise and calming presence."

Her eyes widen at Wraith's words as she watches the skin knit and the bruise heal.  Her ear twitches and she looks up.  Her eyes speak of laughter, but there's no smile on her face.

"I... I have never been called wise," she tells him.  "And usually frustrating instead of calming."

She lets out a short laugh and shakes her head.

"Thank you."

In reply to Mirna (msg #6):

All is quiet behind the door to the room where the Djaffa lay.

In the open crew quarters, Aalistair and most of the Marukans continue to sleep, though a few of them have begun to stir.

In reply to GM (msg #9):

((OOC:
Mirna's not going to leave the door unguarded.

If someone comes to relieve her, or she can get Zosha's or Wraith's attention quietly, she will let them know the Djaffa is OK with being set down some where, but will join us if we wish. As you can probably guess, she's got some trust issues with the guy.))

"I will see to Aalistair... and then I will be up.  You can tell me what you need me to do," she tells Wraith as she watches him spring away.

J'landria walks over to where Aalistair rests and looks at the mottled bruises covering his skin.  She frowns and shakes her head.

"Aalistair," she whispers, a gentle hand resting on an area she hopes there isn't a hidden bruise.  "May I help you?"

J'landria:
"Aalistair," she whispers, a gentle hand resting on an area she hopes there isn't a hidden bruise.  "May I help you?"

Aalistair awakes with a start, then winces with pain. "I'm still a bit sore," he says with a touch of bitterness. "But I shall be fine," he says with a forced grin.

"I assume by your presence here that we have not in fact crashed during the night and we are still airborne and on our way?" He chokes a bit still on the word airborne.

OoC: I think that Aalistair is now at 19/21 after resting for the night. Isn't it +(Con)HP/night of rest? Plus I'd had a healing spell laid on me before.

J'landria looks at Aalistair, her large green eyes filled with concern.

"Please, let me help... even just a little," she asks him, a gentle purr rolling through her speech.

"If you don't need me... I shall go see if I can... let someone else rest up on deck," she tells Aalistair.  "Please, tell me if you need me later."

She stands and bows slightly to him as she moves out of the room and up onto deck

As J'landria leaves, Aalistair pulls himself into a kneeling position and begins his morning prayers. Even on the road, perhaps especially on the road, it is important to keep up routine and discipline.

Belowdecks, it can be felt as the noon hour passes, that the windship slows considerably, and avian calls can be heard coming from above.

J'landria:
J'landria inspects the new clothes, finding their smell.  When she is confident that she knows what the scent of the clothes is she lifts a pile and carries them down and unlocks the door and opens it to look for the man who needs them.

The Djaffa receives the clothes from J'landria, rising to take them.  "So I am now to remain as your prisoner?" he asks, wearily.

"No," she replies.  "We need to check... something."  Her words are punctuated with the growl and she crouches down low to be near the man.  She bows her head a moment and takes a deep breath through her nose, as if she's trying to steel herself.  While she is actually doing so, she takes careful note of the scents of the man currently.

"I have a question... if you would," she says looking up at him.  "The mask you wear now.  Has anyone else worn it?"
