BIll smiled. "I'm glad we stay together that long. We've had our issues like any group of teens in close proximity, but we're more a family than a team. A bunch of dysfunctional brothers and sisters."

  Bella smiled, and said "And they make good Aunts and Uncles.  Like the Legacy folks sort of are too."

Bill smiled. "I'm glad you had a good 'extended' family. I'm glad we did such a good job of raising you."

  Bella grinned, and told him, as she poured a bunch of water into a pan "You and Dad-D did a pretty damn good job with me.  Mostly."

BIll had spent the entire night getting to know his daughter until she decided she needed a shower. While she was in there he turned on the television flipping it to the news, as he heard the water turn off the bit about the t.p.ed house came on. "Bella, Could you come out here a second?"

  Bella came out, still toweling off, and not the least bit fazed that all she had on was a towel.  "Yes Dad-B?"

"One of the houses that sent us a letter is 'mysteriously' covered in toilet paper the letter tacked to the door, doo you know anything about this?" He was obviously unhappy

  She nodded, and said "Yeah.  I toilet papered them because it severely pissed me off.  I won't lie about that.  I wanted to put their car in orbit, but I settled for toilet papering."

Bill sat on the couch indicating for Bella to sit next to him. "Bella you can't go around doing things like that. I know it was because you love us, but it was still wrong. People are entitled to their opinion. Did it occur to you this could make tthings MORE difficult? People won't be happy about this"

  Bella sat down beside him, and said "No.  It didn't occur to me.  They make me so ANGRY, Dad.  They can think anything they want, but to write such HORRIBLE things about you and Dad-D . . . . it made me FURIOUS."

Bill wrapped his arms around her. "I know, it seems you inherited your other Dads temper. Its frustrating I know but you can't go pranking people who don't like what we do? Promise me you won't do it again."

Bella said "I promise I will try to hold my temper.  I can't promise that I won't do it again though.  Sound fair?"  She looked solemnly at him, her long black hair in curls and still dripping all over the couch.

Bill sighed. "I'm guessing thats the best I'm going to get? Suppose that'll have to do. I'm gonna go call your grandma see if I can meet her for breakfast." He got up picking up the phone and dialing.

  Bella nodded, and said "I don't want to make you a promise I'm fairly sure will get broken at some point, Dad.  I mean, I WILL try, but I don't guarantee that I won't lose my temper again.  I AM human.  Parahumans and humans are the same in most points, after all, even gengineered ones like me.  And Mom did a pretty damn good job of gengineering me, but that doesn't mean I'm a perfect little Stepford child either."

BIll hung up the phone turning to Bella. "As long as your trying thats what matters, I'm meeting iwth your grandmother at 11:30 if you other Dads not up by then feel free to wake him he'll be a little cranky at first but he should wake up soon enough, if you haven't figured this out yet, dropping water on him won't work"
