Re: Katy's Apartment
Psyche had nodded as Meg left, listening to Vaan intently. The entire story wasn't too far-fetched, though for the most part, Kate was still hung up on the fact that she had a daughter. Or had. Or would. Or may have within the foreseeable future. The thought wasn't unpleasant, but this girl looked like she'd seen hell and then some. The last thing Kate wanted her to do was say the wrong thing.
Then, discarded on the coffee table, a beeper went off. Floating up of its own accord, Kate snatched it out of the air, reading what it said. Trouble at the Museum. It was a good idea, yes, but Jordan had a direct line to her phone, being the Legacy's tie to the Police. Trouble at the museum? It was a good opportunity to get away, at least. Think on things while she pummeled a few people who definitely deserved it.
"Sweetie," Psyche said, getting up and putting a hand on the girl's shoulder, "Erm...I've got some work to do. There's food in the fridge. Help yourself. Make yourself at home. And...when you get tired, down the hall, first door on your right. I've got to think a little."
