Victoria smiled.

"I like concentrating on the here and now, which that consists of making the best life possible for both of us, and defend the realm as necessary."

  Andy chuckled, and said "Can't hurt that I make decent money as a mechanic too."

"Your talent as a mechanic will always be in demand, Andy," Victoria said, chuckling. "That's the amazing part."

  Andy chuckled, and said "Well, at least it is a high-demand career field."

Victoria nodded.

"We both have high demand careers. And in our other vocation...there seem to be a lot of things and variables."

  Andy smiled, and kissed her again, then picked her up and settled himself onto the couch, his form shifting effortlessly as he sat, so he had no tail or wings in the way.  He said quietly "I don't mind things bring quiet on the other front, love."

"It's not often that we get a period of respite. That picnic we had on the cliffs was a lot of fun," she said, settling into Andy's strong chest.

  He nuzzled her head as he said "That's true.  And you know what?  I think I'm going to take you out to dinner and a movie.  What do you think of that?"
