The most recent lab where illegal para experimentation was being done for reasons unknown by persons unidentified at this time.

Lina, Seer, and Rebound exited a portal a few miles ontop of a clift overseeing the lab. They had binoculars but Lina had other means of seeing closer with her portals unbeknownst the guards. Unlike last time, the place was heavily guarded.

"This place was nowhere near this level of security detail when I was last here!" Lina said after they looked through almost every corner of the compound. One place her portal wouldn't open was in the "test subject" area. One of her portals saw a chain gang of supposed paras enter an area. 10 minutes later, their "drained" skeletal bodies returned in small service truck with the carcasses in a bin.

  Penny spoke in a rather soft, but thoughtful tone.  "The really unusual thing is the structure itself.  Everything in this lab is built on a platform over the water, giving them an easy way to dispose of the biological evidence by dumping it into the ocean and letting the sharks eat the evidence.  Although that could eventually have some nasty repercussions of it's own.  The building is over a rather deep ravine, and there are a larger than normal number of sharks around this area.  I thought I heard something on the local news not that long ago that there were a lot of shark sightings lately."

  She'd been considering what she could perceive, both by borrowing Rebound's eyes, and by utilizing her own clairvoyant abilities.  She wasn't limited by the blocks on Lina's portals, but she hadn't been letting both Lina and Jack see what she did.  Her lips had been pursed, off and on, in concentration and thought as she moved her perspective through the base, and she added "We will need more backup to go in there and check it out, but we DO need to go in.  I'd like to sneak in, but I am not sure what sort of electronic security systems they have.  I can tag regular cameras, but I don't know about spotting IR, UV and sensors that detect other things, and they might run on an IFF system too.  Which would mean we'd need someone that shouldn't trip all that type of hardware.  Jack, do you think we could maybe borrow Mr. Witness, or do you think we can find another astral or phasing person to go in and explore without being captured?"

"Or I could EMP the whole place with a well placed energy blast but... That may cuase too much attention and I don't know how well their EM defenses are against my Energy Offensives. Or I could create an energy construct as distraction. Don't know how effective that would be either."

"Energy projection... I haven't used the latter in a while since I left PowerLand. Prolly forgot how to do that! Maybe I could practice with a construct or mind jump with my telepathy but that requires that they not have any mental defenses... ugh!" She thought to herself.
