She goes back out to D'aden, "There are a lot of scents around. Any idea where they were keeping her?"

Roisin continued sprinkling water on the draconians faces to see if it would revive them. Any information they might have would be valuable in letting everyone know what might be waiting ahead.

Re: The Lyceum III (main)

Roisin smiled to herself pleased that she'd managed to rouse one from unconsciousness. "Hello there. You and I are going to have a little chat. It could be a pleasant chat or an unpleasant one. Obviously, I'd prefer it to be pleasant. I can't promise much, but I can promise that when the time comes, provided the information you give us is valid, I will speak for you in court." Roisin smiled "And see that you're healed and in no pain. That's not a euphemism for having you killed. I truly mean that I'd see you get the best care possible. Now...on to our questions. We're looking for a young female woman. Do you know where she is? What more can you tell us about who might be guarding this place and who are you serving?"

Re: The Lyceum III (main)

In reply to Angharad (msg # 398):

"As far as we know, if they were keeping the girl it would only have been for the last day or so. On our way here, we became aware that there were two children lost. I found some tracks indicating they came in here. We were already on our way int, to gather treasure for the king, so we started to look for the missing children. We found the boy chained to the ceiling, and he told us the dracs had done it and taken his sister with them."

Re: The Lyceum III (main)

Roisin cleaned her face with a cloth, slowly and carefully "I understand your feelings. I should, in fairness, point out that your only option is to talk to me before your friends. There is no love lost between your kind and mine...and it's only the one that's helpful that might have a stay of execution. So, once more, Where is the human girl? Who do you work for?" Roisin paused for a moment before looking considering the draconian "You do realise that whoever set you to guard this place, is going to be very disappointed in you for well, putting it bluntly, barely even causing us a nuisance in our way through here? I know I might sound like the enemy, but truly, your best option is to talk."

Re: The Lyceum III (main)

D'aden takes up his mandolin, and follows the advice previously given. "Now that our scaly friends are starting to wake, I think we should entertain them. Perhaps a song."
Of course, those that have traveled with him know D'aden will use any excuse to burst into song. Which is what he does.
"Bravely bold draconians were woke upon their cots
They were not afraid to die, O brave draconians..."

"What? You've heard that one? Ok, how about this one:"
"Me buddy and me found a great big rock, shaped like a dragon's egg.
We worked 'pon it round the clock, the rock like a dragon's egg.
Once we had it painted up, a pretty shade of blue
We sold it to a baaz because he said he liked the hue."

In reply to D'aden Tor VIII (msg # 405):

Grettanah gazed at the warrior aghast plainly showing in her countenance. OH MY she exclaimed holding her hand to her face. I heard such sounds earlier whilst returning and assumed it to be some poor creature being Mercilessly tortured elsewhere within this Labyrinth. Goodness fellow have you been the subject of a curse or such dire ensorclement

"Well, this is for the dracs, after all. While I was with the troupe traveling along the Vingaard, they suggested I sing badly to those without an ear for the music. Truly, the dracs have no ears."
"Perhaps later, I will redeem myself by playing for humans."

Re: The Lyceum III (main)

Disgruntled by the lack of useful information, Angharad and Coli start looking around where they are at for draconian tracks that may have been made in the last day or so. As they work their way around, Angharad keeps talking with Coli to make sure she understands anything her friend finds that she might miss.

Olven checks to see that all of his weapons are in place, and then turns to the shackled draconians.  "So we're going to keep these guys as slaves?"  He shrugs.  "Fine by me.  We might have some trouble keeping them here, though, if their comrades find them."

He steps out into the hallway and looks in each direction.  "Let's keep exploring.  We'll find the girl eventually."

Re: The Lyceum III (main)

Roisin turned to face Olven, her voice turning cold "No. There's absolutely no way we're keeping them as slaves. They're prisoners, until trial, then justice will be served." she looked around "If you can see an empty room with a door, I can make sure they will not escape for a time."

"What do you mean by 'justice'?" Olven's tone is calm, and he looks curiously at Roisin.  "Why would you put these draconians on trial?  Are they guilty of some kind of crime?"

The formerly cheerful D'aden colors, and speaks in stoic tones [Language Solamnic; Madam, you wound me. I did not say they would be our slaves. I was merely suggesting that we deliver them to he who sent us here and let the king decide what to do with them.]

"Evidently. Kidnapping might be only one of the crimes they are guilty of. In any case, I will not condone, take part in or have anything to do with slavery. Prisoners for the King to decide their fates is my suggestion. With, of course, leniency for the one of them that is forthcoming with information."  Roisins cheeks coloured as she angered, speaking emphatically. [Language Solamnic; "If I am wrong, then I am wrong. the King is the ultimate source of justice here. But however we deal with the draconians they should never be kept as slaves. Such a life is degrading, meaningless and pointless. No-one should live under such circumstances."]

Re: The Lyceum III (main)

D'aden appears intent on dismissing the dracs, "I think we should press on. These dracs don't know anything. Their boss was wise to keep them in the dark, as they would have given away every secret they carried just to prove they were too valuable to kill."
On the other hand, perhaps he just wants the dracs to think he's dismissing them.

Grettanah had expressed her thoughts, if the othets chose to disregard them that was their choice & error. Glancing towards Barrack she gave a slight tilt of her head. With due care & precaution the two moved along the passageway looking for other doorways or adjoining passages.

Re: The Lyceum III (main)

As if following D'aden's suggestion, Grettanah moved away from the cells, towards the bedroom. To the right, she found a corridor about 25 feet long that just ended. And on the other side, a torture chamber about 25 feet square. And at the end, the bedroom where the draconians had slept before they were chained, about 50 by 25 feet, with a still closed door in the wall to the right.

Olven Wolf follows Grettanah and Barrack.  He looks between the bedroom and the torture chamber.  "I'll search the bedroom," he offers.  "Do you two want to see what you can discover in the torture chamber?"

OOC:  Take five minutes to search the bedroom for anything of interest.

Olven shakes his head.  "I'm going daft.  We already searched these rooms."  He points to the still-closed door to the right.

"Let's see what's in there."  Gripping his spear, he stands by the door.

OOC:  Give everyone a minute to get ready.  Then, open the door.
