OOC Too
That is completely up to you.
And there are two steps to the invitation. The first is to read the Icon of Truth. It takes a week of your time, but you don't have to make any commitments until you have finished reading. And choosing to switch allegiance from Solinari to the High God, will open new doors, but it will also close old ones.
Olven, D'aden, and Alvin all wanted to read the Icon of Truth. So we can say that they read it first. And they all decided to follow the High God. And you might want to talk to them IC and find out why.
If you want to be a Solinari following white-robed wizard, you shouldn't change.
Before you joined the group, there was another character who was in a similar situation. Change who you are to get information that will help the group. The player didn't want to change, but he chose to change for the team. I thought he was fine with that choice, but he shortly thereafter left the game.
It seems that he believed that he had to do it for the group and didn't like how his character changed. But at the same time, another character got the same information in another way.
So what I'm saying is this. You should stay true to the vision of your character. And make your choices based on that. If you want to change, you can do that. If you don't want to change, you shouldn't.
Stuff happened to Olven and you know what he's dealing with. As I've been throwing out hints regarding his coming change for a long time, the player noticed even though the character at first did not. And there is a cure, so I knew that Olven could get out of it if he wanted to.
Some time ago, before Olven's change had fully manifested, your choices in the Lyceum placed D'aden in front of a possible change and I mentioned it to him. I did this because there was no cure and I didn't want to unilaterally change his character in such a major way. It resulted in no change.
Choice is very important to me. And I don't want to force you into anything. We're here to have fun. The characters may go through some tribulation along the way, but it is your choice that changes them and determines what adventures they have. Not my fiat.
And when I sat down to respond, I wasn't planning on writing this much, but here we are. So in summary. You make the choice. The choice you want to make for your character. And consider the needs of the group only if you want to. And in this case, you have three characters you can ask IC that might give you new information that might inform your choice.
