Man, Roisin. Sorry to hear you're still feeling so poorly. I hope that the new antibiotics are more effective.

I don't have language group options. Nassrin is speaking in the foreign common.

Well, hopefully I'll take those shots while not being cannon fodder. Nassrin is built as a true tank in the MMORPG style, to take blows and stop the enemy from beating up on you all. So "cannon fodder" is somewhat fitting.

Only Roisin knows any of the local languages. She automatically translates between the two groups.

Before we get into a combat I should explain Nassrin a little. She would have mentioned some things at some point along the way. She can protect you well if you're near her. Mechanically, if you're beside her, up to 2 hexes to either side, she can parry attacks headed toward you. She can also trip people fairly well if they they try to move past her to get to anyone behind her. She can take a beating, too, so she can handle being up front as her role requires. Hopefully that will give everyone some idea of how to work with her so she can be the tank and stop a lot of the hurt from reaching you all.

If the group wants to keep a map of this place, one of the characters and one of the players would have to make a map. The character making the map doesn't have to be controlled by the player making the map.

Adding to that, any measurements I give are estimates made by your characters.

We definitely need a map. I'll create the map if one of the PCs can be the one making it.

As no one seems to be the PC to draw the map, we can let Alvin do it. Do we have the tools to make a map?

Just so it's clear that I'm not holding out, D'aden has neither the requisite skill nor the necessary material to make a map.

Well, this is pretty not amazing, but this is what I whipped up in Google Sheets:

Thank you for making that map! Let's assume we have the materials with us. Because seeing that, I note that I didn't include something you would have noted when you entered the new room. All three doors go to the same room.

The usual. Turkey, dressing, mashed potatoes, etc. The wife wants carrot cake instead of coconut cream pie this year, but I just go for the pumpkin so I don't mind.
OH! The lizardmen!
I'm not sure D'aden has any context with which to approach these guys. If they look anything like draconians, we could kill them in their sleep. But whether or not they DO sleep is still a question, so, I don't know.

I've never tried coconut cream pie, but I wouldn't mind doing so. Carrot cake is amazing though. So if there were both, I think I would have to try the first. And likely finish with the second.

Quoting from the IC thread:

"[The dragon siblings] burned all defenders and, brother and sister, ruled the land. Lizardmen rose up from the swamps to be their closest servants and officials. For three generations of humans, no one could stand against them. They had great caverns dug for themselves in the dragonish fashion on opposite sides of a hill and they had a palace raised above it from which they ruled. The dragon king had his seat in the east part of the palace, and the queen in the west."

Responding to a question about what monster groups are in the mountains (and Tiichi is the only draconian you've seen on this continent): "Oh my," the dancer exclaimed. "Nothing simple like that." She looked at Tiichi out of the corner of her eye. "There are ogres, minotaurs, bear folk," looking at Tiichi again out of the corner of her eye, "lizard folk, Teremere, wights, corpse-eaters, and a few trolls." She shivered. When I think about them, I hear lofty pines on Misty Mountain."

If you look at them, lizard folk are to lizards what draconians are to dragons. These are of course the first lizard folk you've ever met.

And for the locals, these lizard folk are considered monsters.

Yes, the other door is opposite the first. But most of the room is further "north" than the "northernmost" wall in the large room.
