As if I didn't have ENOUGH work on my plate, you people continually amaze me with the fact that you don't know whom is in your chain of command. As such, now I have to make MY pilots suffer even more by having them sign off on reading this document, in addition to making sure the rest of you blockheads in OCG2 do so.

The purpose of this file is to describe, in detail, just what forces belong in OCG2. Anything NOT covered by this document either belongs in OCG1 (which is being integrated into other OCGs), OCG3, or OCG4 (which is being assembled at current).

ARMD-Class Carrier Complement

OCG2 possesses, at current, the most ARMD-Class Carriers in the entire UEDF Fleet. This is due partly because of the fact that OCG1 lost -01 and -02, but mostly because we have the largest operational zone. We patrol everything from Earth to Lunar Base Apollo. Unlike other Groups, we fly active interdiction between both locations - as opposed to being 'stationed' in one arena.

FLAGSHIP:

ARMD-07 RANGER
ARMD-07 was made flagship of OCG2 in 2009, primarily because she boasts the most experienced pilots and crew. The Ranger nearly met her end during the initial invasion of the alien armada, but thanks to the sacrifice of the Anarchy, she was able to effect an escape and continue operations. During her repair cycle following Operation: Damocles, the Ranger received several prototypes of next-generation Veritech designs to be field tested by her Squadrons. It's reasonable to believe that UEDF Command has placed the continued survival of the RDF, and Earth, in the hands of this ship's crew since the disappearance of the SDF-01 Macross.

VT Fighter Squadrons: Echo (Veteran), Fox (Veteran), Revolt (Green), Raven (Green)

FLEET:

ARMD-03 ENTERPRISE

Considered the first of the 'second-generation' Armors, The Big E is one of the most famous of the Armors, due to a write-in campaign for the civilian population to name her. She was named for the principal vessel of the Star Trek television shows, as well as the first reusable space shuttle built by NASA (which was named for the aforementioned TV series). The Big E is the "Executive" ship of the Group, taking over command responsibilities in the event of the Ranger's incapacitation.

VT Squadrons: Kirk (Veteran), McCoy (Veteran)
SF-3A Squadrons: Picard (Elite), Riker (Veteran), Troi (Green), Worf (Green), LaForge (Green), Data (Green)

ARMD-04 C. MACEK

The C. Macek was named after the man who was indirectly responsible for making anime mainstream in Western culture. The name of the anime is lost to history, only vaguely remembered by a select subgroup of people. The Macek has been referred to as "the biggest hunk of junk" in the Galaxy, due to the fact that her construction pre-dated the Enterprise, but flaws corrected during the design phase of the Big E necessitated the Macek being rebuilt, essentially from scratch. Outwardly, she resembles the Second Generation Armors, but her internal systems and design look like the First Generation that she was intended to be. This causes a lot of confusion among those who transfer aboard and endless agitation for her technical crew.

VT Squadrons: Oliver (Veteran), Clarke (Green)
SF-3A Squadrons: MacQueen (Green), Kramer (Green), Cody (Veteran), Barron (Green), Epcar (Veteran), Forstadt (Green)

ARMD-05 AKAGI

Designed as a testbed for new technologies, the Akagi was built with modular equipment. Components are easily able to be swapped out as newer technologies become available, thanks to the "Omni" slot plugs and an enhanced power plant. Due to the nature of the Akagi's mission, these modules can either be swapped out "in the field" or at a Stationyard. The Akagi's technical complement is comprised mostly of theoretical scientists and flight engineers who are constantly working to develop new weapon systems and components for the RDF. One of their biggest breakthroughs to come down the pipe is the GBP-1S Modular Valkyrie Armor/Missile Pack, a bolt-on armor system that boosts a Veritech's firepower and damage mitigation by an incredible 120%. They are currently working to improve the weapon yield of the Armor-class' beam and Reflex Warhead weaponry.

VT Squadrons: Newton (Elite), Einstein (Veteran)
SF-3A Squadrons: Archimedes (Veteran), Kapitsa (Veteran), Heisenberg (Veteran)

Oberth-class Guided Missile Space Destroyer

Unlike the ARMD complement, OCG2 contains fewer of the Oberth-class DDSG warships than any other OCG. This is due, in part, to the number of Carriers and fighter groups that make up the Carrier Group. Many Oberths were lost during the initial engagement with the alien invasion fleet (almost 35% of the entire Oberth Fleet). This has led many within UEDF High Command to believe the DDSGs may not be up to the task of defending Earth against future incursions. It is a widespread rumor that the Oberths currently being constructed will be the last.

OCG2 FLEET:

DDSG-12 ANARCHY (Destroyed; Suicide Run)
The Anarchy was the original consort of ARMD-07 Ranger. She was lost with all hands during the interception mission against the alien invasion fleet, sacrificing itself to allow the Ranger a chance to escape destruction. As a sign of respect, most of the crew of the ARMD-07 wear the mission patch of DDSG-12, ringed in black, somewhere on their uniform.

DDSG-13 FRANKLIN D. ROOSEVELT
DDSG-13 is currently stationed at Lunar Base Apollo, safeguarding the SDF-02 Odyssey with ARMD-03 Enterprise and ARMD-04 Akagi.

DDSG-14 GEORGE S. PATTON
DDSG-14 is currently stationed at Lunar Base Apollo with its sister ships.

DDSG-15 JIMMY CARTER
DDSG-15 is currently stationed at Agrama with ARMD-04 C. Macek, safeguarding the flagship ARMD-07 Ranger during her repair cycle.

DDSG-16 JAMES K. POLK
DDSG-16 is currently stationed alongside DDSG-16, safeguarding Stationyard Agrama and the drydocked Ranger.

DDSG-17 WILLIAM G. HARDING (Destroyed)
DDSG-17 suffered a catastrophic loss of Reflex containment during her shakedown cruise to Mars Base Sara. Lost with all hands, Feb. 2009.

DDSG-18 REVOLUTION (M.I.A., presumed Destroyed)
DDSG-18 vanished during her shakedown cruise to Venus. No wreckage has been recovered or detected.

DDSG-19 GREEN BERET (Damaged)
DDSG-19 was crippled during the initial alien onslaught and is currently drydocked at Stationyard Miyatake undergoing repairs. She is slated to reenter service around the same time as ARMD-07.

DDSG-20 TEMPLAR
DDSG-20 is currently stationed at Lunar Base Apollo, safeguarding the SDF-02 Odyssey.

DDSG-21 INVICTUS
DDSG-21 is currently stationed alongside Stationyard Agrama, defending the damaged ARMD-07.

DDSG-22 JAMES MADISON
DDSG-22 has been assigned to safeguard Stationyard Miyatake while DDSG-19 is being repaired.  (Appended information--the James Madison was released from this assignment when the Ranger was sent to Mars.  It was destroyed, presumably by an alien attack, while ferrying Separatist prisoners back to Earth in advance of the rest of the Ranger's task force.)

DDSG-23 KENNEDY
DDSG-23 is defending Stationyard Miyatake while DDSG-19 is being repaired.
