As the spouse will tell you, there was much sleeping. Much much sleeping. Then our HVAC system died and had to be replaced, and my laptop is out for repair and I finally had to go back into the office today.
Seattle was lovely -- I mean really, really lovely. At least when I got to see it, when I wasn't in a conference room, or
in court. The settlement (of this case, and one that was slated to go to trial this fall, also in Seattle) with one week of evidence to go was a little anti-climactic; there are some defendants taking it to verdict (closing arguments today, jury starts deliberations tomorrow), and we have our collective fingers crossed at the firm that they'll be successful at the end.
Next summer (barring settlement) will have me in Contra Costa County, California.
I need to read up on the threads and remind myself of where the bombs are planted and how close they are on the countdown. Please continue to be patient while I wrap my head back around the plot-lines.
