What?  What kind of parent promotes literacy and schoolwork?
Ice cream and Fallout4.  True parenting there.

In this household, it's Destiny and microwave popcorn.

To be fair, we do have Fallout 4.  And he's into Nether or Just Cause 3 at the moment.

I can't keep the games straight. When you two start talking about a game it might as well be all Charlie Brown-esque wah wah WAH wah wah.

I just talk big.
No kids - though we do have three kittens/young cats.

No Fallout or any of the other games mentioned.
We play board games.  Atavistic?

We have ice cream though.  And popcorn.
At least until my wife's next "OMG HORRIBLE DAY" moment.

Re: Finished for tonight

Congrats to the GM on the new addition to the family!

Our dog is a nine year old black lab, border collie cross(or so we were told).  Just a little more white on him than your pup, mostly on the front paws.

Garflin:

It was a family decision.  The kids started asking "When will we get another dog?" not long after Sarah died last September.  Last month some time I decided I was ready.  For a lot of different reasons, we decided we wanted a younger dog.  Beckett is about 7 months, and she's a black Lab mix.  (Our prior dogs have all been Labs or Lab mixes.)  We wanted to take two from the same litter, but the rescue (a) doesn't adopt out more than one dog to the same family at once -- we have to wait a couple of weeks, and (b) won't adopt two from the same litter to the same house.

At the adoption event today, there was a shepherd mix I would have taken if they had been willing to waive the "no two dogs on the same day" rule.

Re: Finished for tonight

Garflin:
So nat 20 to hit and 23 for crit confirmation. If the crit is confirmed, he takes 34 total.

Garflin -- as of house rule adopted in July, noted here:

me:
... from here on out, confirmed critical hits -- both PCs and NPCs -- will always yield max damage that could be inflicted on that hit, including sneak attack damage.

With that in mind -- what's your max damage on that confirmed critical?

And side comment, awesome way to start your attack on the boss fight; great follow-up to how Anansi managed to short-circuit the boss's and his minions' efforts to power him up in advance.

 Happy Winter Solstice all!
I hope it's colder wherever you are, things here are still ridiculously warm. People were swimming in southern France last week.

I had completely forgotten, thanks.

If includes all the extra dice then in 12, 12, 8, 8, 8, and 5 so 43 total.
