Actually, he's panicked.  But, being tied up, he's not able to run.

Re: Question

    A bear there was
    a bear, a bear
    all black and brown
    and covered with hair

    Oh come they said
    oh come to the fair
    the fair? said he
    but I'm a bear
    all black and brown
    and covered in hair!

    And down the road
    from here to there
    from here, to there
    three boys, a goat
    and a dancing bear
    they danced and spun
all the way to the fair!

    Oh, sweet she was
    and pure and fair
    the maid with honey
    in her hair, her hair
    the maid with honey
    in her hair

    The bear smelled the scent
    on the summer air
    the bear, the bear
    all black and brown
    and covered with hair
    he smelled the scent
    on the summer air
    he sniffed and roared
    and smelled it there
    honey on the summer air

    Oh I'm a maid
    and I'm pure and fair
    I'll never dance
    with a hairy bear
    a bear, a bear
    I'll never dance
    with a hairy bear

    The bear, the bear
    lifted her high
    into the air
    the bear, the bear

    I called for a knight
    but you're a bear
    a bear, a bear
    all black and brown
    and covered in hair

    She kicked and wailed
    the maid so fair
    but he licked the honey
    from her hair
    her hair, her hair
    he licked the honey
    from her hair

    Then she sighed and squealed
    and kicked the air
she sang: my bear so fair
    and off they went
    the bear, the bear
    and the maiden fair

In her hair... though that doesn't necessarily limit it to her head... she might have hairy arms.  >.>

It was the last stanza that made me question where the honey was.

Re: Question

Well, obviously...

    Then she sighed and squealed
    and kicked the air

EDIT - I felt this merited adding:  Have you never seen girl (young or old) getting licked on the face by a puppy?  Sighing and squealing and kicking the air are all possibilities.  Licking the hair on her head might well spill over onto her face.

Donato/Dagobert/Josep are off to Japan. Well they're not, but I am.

Don't expect to hear anything from me for the next 23 days.

I'll be back September 1st, have fun until then and please don't kill my people ;)

Re: Question

Checking in from Tennessee.  My laptop is about to die -- battery is at 2% and the warning of battery low is on.  Power cord is frayed and won't charge, so I've been nursing it along until I can find an Apple store in Knoxville to replace it.  Hope y'all are doing well.

Re: Question

I have never been to TN. I have visions of hill people with bad teeth, oversized shoes and big overalls.

I know...I know. But that's what's in my head. I hope the reality is much more appealing.

Every time I think of the south, I'm haunted by the sound of banjos and scenes from Deliverance & Texas Chainsaw Massacre.

The closest I have ever come is Missoouri...and it was EXACTLY like that...minus the banjos.

Re: Question

Well I grew up in Eastern Kentucky in coal - mining country.  My father worked in the mines and had his back broken in them. (Cue Loretta Lynn...)  Oak Ridge, Tennessee is a different world from that.

We're about to load the kids and dog up shortly for the drive back to Pennsylvania.  I will be back online tomorrow and will respond to all threads then.  Thanks again for everyone's patience.

Dice Rolleriness

Kubrik:
22:55, Today: Kubrik Borklaw rolled 6 using 1d20+5 with rolls of 1. Intimidate.

...

it appears that I failed that roll spectacularly, thanks dice roller

A quick review of the Dice Roller logger shows that the Dice Roller was feeling generous on July 30th (when it gave a flurry of good rolls on d20, including a 20 for Charan, a 19 for Valan (rolled by the GM), 16 for Tandro, and various rolls of 10 and up for Tristan).  For a brief moment on August 2nd, it was in a passably good mood (an 11 for Euron, a 12 for Valan, and a 16 for Amira).  But the rolls around that bubble on August 2nd have been:

1, 2, 8, 6, 5, 9, 5, 7, 1, 4, 2, 5, 4, 3, 9, 3, and 3.

It appears unhappy about something.  'Fess up, who pissed it off?
