This game uses Other Dust (similar to Stars Without Number).

It takes place on a future Earth where strange events have collapsed the jumpgates that once created an interstellar network of worlds.

200 years later, the Earth and its inhabitants are struggling to survive. Do you have what it takes not only to survive but rebuild?

If you don't have the Other Dust rulebook but would still like to play, the rest of us can probably help you build a character.

The characters live in an area called The Forge, in one of the dozen Enclaves that surround the large Enclave of Thendara.

A group of people have been gathered from the Enclaves and been asked/tasked with venturing out into the dangerous and deadly Wastelands in search of resources that the Enclaves are finally running low on.

In this game, you can even play some of the alien species that were stranded on Earth when the jumpgates were destroyed.

The team has left Thendara and headed west to the next nearest Enclave. They have just come within sight of the Enclave when they encountered a pair of large mutated bear-like Lumberings.

We have a few players who would like to continue in spite of several other players having to bow out due to RL issues.

While it'd be easier to take over abandoned characters, if you'd rather make up a completely new one, that's fine, too.

The group is escorting some refugees to a new home, and have stumbled across a ruined building out in the middle of nowhere, so it's a good place to join in.

Due to player attrition, I'd like to have 2-3 new players join the game.

The group has explored the basement of the 'ruined' building, and the secret sub-basement, and are now about to venture to the upper levels where they've spotted movement.

Is that movement you? Or are you one of those venturous souls that explore the Wasteland on your own? Or, perhaps you didn't get to the meeting on time, and have tracked the group to their current location? Or, maybe, you're a sleeper in one of the cryo-chambers in the building, waking up to a strange, new and dangerous world?
