The Mythic Underworld - D&D like old school dungeon crawl
It's cold... the smell of old moldy damp straw, you feel it against your skin. You open your eyes, but it's dark, so very dark. There's no light at all. There's pain from your forehead, touching it is excruciating! Where are you? You have your traveling clothes on, and are armed. What were you doing before this, the memory is hard. Your pack, it's there at your feet! Fumbling through it, you pull your tinderbox out and light a torch by feel. You're in a stone room with no windows, underground it seems. There's 9 palates of straw on the floor, another is occupied, it's occupant is waking up too, they have a fresh brand on their forehead. There are four doors out of here.

This is an escape the dungeon, dungeon crawl game. I am using a fairly simple RPG system of my creation based loosely upon D&D with inspiration from Dungeon Robber, Holmes, BFRPG, Labyrinth Lord and a tiny bit of 5e. It has some large departures, such as no alignments, playable races are human, cat-people, dog-people & bird people who use race-as-class. It's called URPG or Unknown Role Playing Game. Links to the Advanced PHB are in the links section. Newbies are welcome and encouraged.
I intend this to be at least 1 post per weekday, but will attempt to do more if desired.
I have flagged this game mature, as the level of violence may be high, character death is a real possibility, player vs. player is allowed though not encouraged, drinking and romance (fade to black for explicit encounters) may be a part of the game.
Quick overview of URPG classes and races: There's three main classes Adventurer- which is like a Fighter and/or Thief, Spellcaster which is like a Wizard, Invoker which is like a cleric/paladin. There's three races besides Human which are race-as-class - Iwiw which are paladin like dog-people, Mew which are cat people who are like thief/mage, and P'Kaw which is a bird race like cleric/wizard. I've also added roles which modify those with additional abilities based on the roles of the Heroes Journey (not the RPG.)
