Deathwatch : Warhammer 40,000

You are Adeptus Astartes. Deathwatch space-marines.

But you are more then that, more even then your illustrious brothers. You are the pinnacle of ten thousand years of genetic engineering and military prowess. You are the pre-eminent warrior of your chapter house, having forsaken leadership in favour of your dedication to war in the Emperor's name. You are legend. You have lived hundreds, if not thousands of years combating the most hellish enemies of the Imperium and you are the greatest warriors among a host of the universe's most fearsome warriors.

We will be playing Deathwatch marines of the highest caliber, the champions and heroes of various Chapter Houses, brought together, joined under the banner of the Deathwatch. Characters will be built with 10,000 exp, 100 Renown and wielding not one, but two relics. They will be the paragons of their respective houses, legends amongst legends. This game will be Adult for gore and horror elements.

Deathwatch : Warhammer 40,000

Looking for players to take up the role of existing characters within a Deathwatch campaign. Once the current plot arc is complete, the possibility of creating original characters exists. We are currently on a mission within the dreaded space hulk Mortis Thule..

You are the greatest, pre-eminent warrior among a host of of the universe's most fearsome warriors. We will be playing Deathwatch marines of the highest caliber, the champions and heroes of various Chapter Houses, brought together, joined under the banner of the Deathwatch.

Characters will be built with 23,000 exp, 100 Renown and wielding not one, but two relics. They will be the paragons of their respective houses, legends amongst legends.

Deus Hasta Caesaris

You are a member of the pre-eminent Deathwatch kill team called "Deus Hasta Caesaris"The spear of the God-Emperor. Each of you have spent decades, if not centuries, in service of the deathwatch.

"Deus Hasta Caesaris" has been active in the Jericho Reach for the last 80 years, observing and participating in the Achilus Assault as it unfolded.

As revered members of your various chapters in the Adeptus Astartes, you are held in high regard by both your Chapter brothers and by your brothers in the Deathwatch. Over long decades fighting in the darkness of the Jericho Reach, you have proven yourselves over and over again. Tackling and overcoming overwhelming odds. Tyranid, Xeno, Tau, Chaos marines... All have been faced, in horrific number and all have fallen against your superior combat skill, tactics and dedication.

"Deus Hasta Caesaris" operates out of Watch Station Erioch and aboard the ancient Mars-Class battlecruiser 'Primarch's Fury'.

Three spots available.

Brother Bjorn Ulysses Space Wolf Librarian.
Deep scars mark the right side of Bjorn's face, telling of a serious injury in the past, even for those of the Adeptus Astartes and extend down under whatever clothing he wears. His hair and beard are braided intricately and age has stained them white. When not in armour, he tends to wear leather worked clothing, marked with details of his past and chapter.

Brother Iolar Scath Raven Guard Tactical Marine.

Born a native of Deliverance, Iolar's life was unremarkable, apart from repeated requests to his Captains for reassignment back to the 10th Company that were rebuffed. He preferred the reconnaissances and sabotages that the scouts undertook to that of that of the more front-line work of the tactical marine. It wasn't until the Targus VIII campaign under Shadow Captain Kayvaan Shrike where Iolar felt he belonged, deep in enemy lines with no outside support, every move calculated and measured, disrupting and confusing the enemy, making them fear the shadows. Further campaigns proved his resourcefulness and his capabilities behind enemy lines, striking from the shadows to cripple and terrify his foes. He garnered a reputation as cold and clinical, dedicated to the chapter's way of warfare.

After the successes he had been a part of he was given his desired reassignment to the 10th Company as a Sergeant, where he was to instruct neophytes in the ways of the Sons of Corax, his Captains hoping that his rigorous dedication to the chapter's ideals would rub off on his charges. However, he proved to be a bad leader, dismissing squad members if they failed to meet his punishing standards, sometimes going so far as to abandon squad-mates during missions to force them to survive alone behind enemy lines or even to achieve the objective alone, to prove his superiority. Demotion from Sergeant did not prevent this "one-man army" mentality he had fostered, and soon he was recommended to the Deathwatch by Shadow Captain Korvydae, who felt from his own experiences that this would suit Iolar more, whilst also preventing him from becoming an embarrassment to the 10th Company.

Iolar exemplifies the outward appearance of the Raven Guard, his black eyes cold and unforgiving to those who look into them. His face is cold and impassive, a broad scar from an Ork blade marring the features on the left side that stretches up across his shaven scalp. Two black service studs on the right-hand side of his forehead denote a century of service. Between missions he wears a simple tunic of pale grey, not wanting to stand out. Realising his transfer to the Deathwatch is not so much a matter of honour but due to his character (or lack thereof), Iolar strives to be more co-operative with his brothers. He remains impassive and taciturn, but is willing to listen and learn from his fellows, despite being privately confused by the camaraderie displayed by other, more charismatic fellows. He is desperate to succeed as a member of the Deathwatch, so he can return to his chapter and they will remember his successes in the Deathwatch and as a marine of the 3rd Company, not his perceived failures as a scout sergeant.

More often than not he chooses to deploy in scout armour, but should the need arise he will deploy in his power armour, showing the same stealthiness regardless of the weight. He favours his Stalker-pattern bolter, preferring to take on his foes from afar, but he is not afraid to get up close and personal.

Brother Ku'Shan Assault, Deathwatch Champion of the Salamanders.

Tall and thin, the small waif of an Ignean nomad never truly lost his body shape. Other marines, even amongst the Salamanders, are usually considerably broader than Ku'Shan. However, don't let his size fool you, he is incredibly toned for his size, with your typical marine level of physicality which logically shouldn't mesh with someone as thin as Ku'Shan is. He has claw marks from a Ymgarl genestealer down the left side of his face and he lost both his left eye and left arm during the conflict that have been replaced by finely crafted bionics. His eye bionic is almost impossible to distinguish from his natural one, though it does glow brighter if someone was really looking. Like many Salamanders, Ku'Shan's back is covered in rather artistic burn scars that depict his many victories displayed on his back. His hair is short and much like all salamanders, he has the standard black hair, black skin and red eyes. He has two types of clothing that he keeps with him when he isn't on a mission, his desert gear made in the nomad style(no not a dune reference) which he wears for normal day to day, and his Themisian gladiator gear which he wears when he wants to train without his armour on. He wears heavily modified Mk 8 Power Armour, which can be seen in the image, though he is pictured prior to joining the deathwatch and so the armour is mainly black now.
