Build-your-own-Apocalypse oWod game

There were many, many possible ways for the world to end horribly in the metaplot of of the old World of Darkness games; in each of them, you were supposed to either fight a losing battle against the inevitable, hide somewhere and hope for survival or just stay home, watch TV and go on with your life after the end of magic.

Now.. let's see what happens instead when the players are the ones who want to bring down the fire from the skies. Metaphorically or literally speaking.
This is a game for your Pentex executives, for your Setites with a Big Plan, for your Black Spiral champions and - if I'm feeling nice - for your Earthbound.

It's also a game for anti-heroes, if you want to play it like that - maybe you believe that the only way for this slowly dying, corrupt era to end is to actually end it and see what happens in the next? I'm able and willing to work with you to make characters work, the only requirement is: "they must want to bring apocalyptic levels of change in the world"

I'm going to be running this as multiple separate storylines with next to total freedom on character types (rules-wise we'll be using the 20th anniversary ones when available, but you can make characters of non-updated types too). Whether they -stay- separate and turn into actual solo games, turn into solo stories in a world shared with the other players or merge together.. well, we can decide that after starting.

Don't expect to start with a doomsday button, though - I'm just saying that doomsday buttons will be a thing you'll be expected to want and probably able to get.

Two words of warning: first, I'm going to be testing a few houserules - players will have to be accepting of potentially wonky mechanics. But on the bright side, I'm more than happy to hear -your- ideas about rule changes.

And second, be ready to engage in a bit of world-building. The game is sandboxy, and I have several things in a state of flux until they're decided. This means great leeway for joining players to decide the state of their kind. If nobody cares, I'll certainly get along to deciding things myself.

The game is marked as Adult, as it's pretty likely the PCs will end up being horrible people doing horrible things. Possibly, but not necessarily, to other horrible people. Bring some levity and sense of humor, as dark as it might be.
