Savage Westworld

Congratulations! Your team has won this year’s Research and Development project contest! As employees of Carson Research Company, we not only provide the most innovative products on the market, but we also enjoy a great experience for our staff.

This year’s contest prize is an all-expense paid trip to the one and only Westworld! Full of action and adventure, the Old West setting cannot be matched. Not only do we hope that your group enjoys the vacation, but we also anticipate the time together to be a great bonding experience.

There’s no need to bring anything. Delos will provide each guest with what they need to have fun in Brushwater and the surrounding area. Wild West cash will also be provided so that you can go wild at the gambling table, rent a horse from the livery, purchase that sometimes necessary six-shooter or whatever suits your fancy.
Be prepared to leave Saturday morning for one week of park activity. What you do there is up to you. The possibilities are endless!

I really love the TV show Westworld. I’m old enough to have seen the original movie in the theatre, but it didn’t blow my mind like the TV show does. I’m using Savage Worlds as the basic rules, with a few tweeks. I’m not using Deadlands, but I might occasionally dip into a supplement if necessary. In fact, I’m going to be going easy on the technicalities as it is. I’m primarily looking for roleplay and good writing. But the advancement of a character is always fun, too.

The Westworld of the game has some differences from the one on television. You won’t be meeting William, Logan, Terry, Mauve, Dolores, Bernard or Dr. Ford. And the chaos from the tenth episode isn’t happening. (There is a park-related mystery that we’ll hopefully get to.) Plus, very importantly, the characters will have their minds downloaded into hosts.

Each day will not see a reset in the town. It does eventually happen, but at a slower pace that the characters won’t see.

What I need: Character name, what the character is hoping for from his visit, a character concept (which might change before the game starts). Please note that all players will adventure as a group and work together for common goals. The characters are visitors when they start the game and are not established members of the town that they will enter.

Adventures will be traditional Old West, no macabre. Some will employ gunplay. Some will require investigation.

Check out the threads provided for more on Savage Westworld. Ask me questions that you have. I hope to see you in game soon!

The visitors have made it to Brushwater. We could use a couple more to help them explore the town and see what will happen.
