Fifteen years ago the aliens landed on Earth. A covert multinational taskforce, XCOM, fought valiantly against the invasion. Hampered by a terrorist organization of questionable goals, EXALT, the fight was eventually lost and the aliens took over Earth with its populace.
It is the year 2030. The humanity is still under the alien rulers and the ADVENT, humans working for the aliens. ADVENT keeps the peace, sometimes with a rather heavy hand. Sometimes people disappear without a trace, but mostly the society is docile and pacified.
But there are those that remember. People, who have lost loved ones in the hands of the ADVENT and their alien overlords. People, who remember the life fifteen years ago and are ready to risk everything to free the humans from under the alien rule. They are the RESISTANCE.
Using covert operations and hit-and-run tactics, these rebel operatives gather intelligence and strike against the oppressors from shadows. It is a constant play of cat and mouse and true veterans are rare - most operatives survive only a few missions. And yet, new cells of RESISTANCE rise from the ashes of the old cells.

The game will use the Mutants and Masterminds 2nd Edition rules with the player characters being non-powered individuals. Ownership of the rules is not required, but advisable. The Agents of Freedom supplement is also used and characters will be created using those rules. The game is rated Mature.
