TAKAGARA CIVIL WAR ESCALATES
-HNM Correspondent Draya Lorgan reports-


Nakano Airport, Haven (HNM) -- The fighting continues here in Nakano, where rebel forces, led by Warlord Tokoshi Keno, looks to tighten his grip on House Takagara and take control of the forces and lands once held by his late half-brother, Lord Giji. Lady Uru Takagara is in command of the loyalist forces, and rumors say that she leads them from the frontline, personally flying sorties against the rebel air squadrons.

You can see here, footage captured earlier today when the 7th Air Patrol Wing attacked loyalist forces at the airport here, destroying a number of heavy lifting cargo planes and equipment as well as killing hundreds in the attack. Sources close to the Lady Regent say that they are using new "Hypersonic" attack craft to carry out these raids, new weapons which are more than a match for modern anti-aircraft weapons.

Lady Takagara said in a statement made in response to the attack: "We will not sit still for these cowardly attacks any longer. Our own elite hypersonic air wing, 1st Noble Air Wing "The Tigersharks", will respond to these traitors, led by myself personally. I will have vengeance for my husband and I will have vengeance for the subjects of House Takagara. May death take the traitor Keno and his cowardly band!"

Powerful words. Now we wait and see if the Hegemony steps in our not. Many of House Takagara's subjects have asked that other Houses and the Hegemony in particular stay out of this conflict, no matter which way it goes, but we have yet to hear Prince Indaris statement on the matter. No doubt, he is carefully considering his next course of action with his most trusted advisors.
