The Empire of Caecras is falling into chaos. The once subservient Orcs have risen up, and the Emperor has been strangled to death. National and religious tensions keep the people divided as the cities are flooded with refugees. Some believe that these are the end times, that the shadow of the Demon Lord himself has arisen, and that soon all will be thrown into oblivion.

Thankfully, for you, all of that seems very, very far away.

You are a simple villager who lives in the town of Westshire, a small town in the western reaches of the Empire. It have been spared the horrors of war and the depredations of the Orcs, Undead, and Demons that are said to plague the world around the humble village. Life, while not always easy, goes on, and times are peaceful enough.

For now. There is trouble brewing across the entire land of Rul, and on this dark, stormy night, Westshire may find that it's luck is running out.

From humble beginnings as an ordinary villager, rise to become mighty heroes, wizards and priests. Discover the secrets of the shadow falling across the land, and take a stand against the darkness.

The Shadow Falls is a game utilizing the Shadow of the Demon Lord engine and setting. No prior knowledge of mechanics or setting is necessary, new players are welcome. Come and enjoy a new game with all of us!
