Death Labryinth

Wounded and desperate the Halfling falls back into the shrubbery like some cornered wildcat, his eyes wicked, his knife brandished, tip quivering over his hooded head.  The sight of that curly-footed creature’s grim determination, causes Aargha to stop and think and consider…

It occurs to Aargha that, whether he slays this Halfling or not – whether he, Aargha lives or dies today – the Goblins have been defeated.

So great a price has the Goblinkin paid for the bridge that – even if Aargha slays this last Halfling and finishes off the moaning Elves – he, alone, wounded and weak – can never hold it.

Goblins are not known for their intellect but they are not fools, either.  Especially Aargha.  He glances at the fierce, determined stance of the Halfling.  He glances at his maimed arm and watches the blood continue to drip… drip… drip… from the wound.   Off in the distance, he hears Grohk laughing as he sails away down the river, gleeful even in his own defeat.

Slowly… warily…  Aargha lowers his axe.  He sees a look of confusion wash across the Halfling’s ruddy face.

The Goblin gives the Halfing a nod.

A nod of truce?  Of understanding?  Of … respect?

Whatever the Goblin is thinking, Derlan Watari will never know.  As he watches the Goblin turn away and slink off through the forest, heading back south toward the river, his small hurting body slowly uncoils.  He lets out  a long, shuddering sigh.

He waits half a moment until he hears one of the Elves – T’Rissa, he believes.  She is calling out for help.  She is wounded.  She needs help.  Mithara, too.  Help! She cries out in the meadow.  Someone help!

Derlan Watari finally gives a shake of his head and scampers off toward the clearing.  There are wounded to be tended.  Dead to be prepared.  The alarm to be sounded.

But first thing’s first…

Somewhere out there in the field of battle, Falco Proudfoot dropped a cookie.

...and Derlan intends to find it...

Folks, we have room for 1 or 2 more duo teams.

Think Hunger Games on steroids.  Indoors.  With Dwarves.

Quick and easy, low commitment, fast paced fun and carnage.  System knowledge entirely unnecessary to play and prosper. Play this for a mental break between your more substantial roleplaying games as a little escape.
