Hello all. Epic Online is an idea I came up with for a game I'd like to run. It is based heavily on the "death game" genre of anime, such as .hack and Sword Art Online.

The premise is that you will role play yourselves trapped in a virtual reality fantasy MMORPG, and you must complete the game to be free. It will be run in a video game fashion, so you will complete quests, level up, talk to NPCs, get phat loot, and clear dungeons for magical gear. If you've ever played WoW or Guild Wars, imagine that, but using DnD rules.

This is currently a work in progress, but I have some information already planned. The adventure will be set in the Kingdom of Fairwind, there will be multiple zones, each of which with a final boss you must defeat to progress to the next zone, with a final boss in the center of the kingdom.

You are free to play whatever character you so choose, there no restrictions. There will also be caveats, such as bosses will be immune to things such as the Wish spell, things like that.

There will be NPCs, but I will also have other players in the game as well, so there will be rival guilds and freelance players for you to ally with and fight and so on.

Again, this is a work in progress, and I would like to announce that I am new to PBP and this will be my first time DMing it, though I have DMed in real life.
