Exalted: The Seat of Power

Please see last post, made in January!

Please see the game for further details.

I'm restarting my Exalted game in a period of major enthusiasm for the system, and after being very entrenched in only one other franchise of systems.

The story is very variable, but essentially the circle comes together again after recurring memories of the hall of heroes beckons them.

The first story is mini-adventure, a solo adventure to the hall of heroes and realizing it's now a tomb. The next will be very quickly the circle meeting and exploring the tomb.

After those two short stories are over, we'll start the real meat of the story, which is the exploration of Nexus. A Nexus that is bereft of some serious mercenary power, mind you. Many cutthroats and heinous peddlers of filth will run amuck and (hopefully) be dealt with by the circle.

Then after that, if it goes well, we'll work on the seat of power, wherein the circle aims to make seat of power to repel the forces of the Blessed Isle.

I'm imagining some manse hunting may occur in the Scavenger Lands, as well as some HK action in Nexus and Great Forks.

Experience with the system is required, I can't teach the system this time. Limited knowledge of the world and system is fine, and might even be for the better.

Thanks taking the time to read this. (: I hope to see you there!

As a note, I GM a few other games, and two of them have been largely delayed to start already. So the start date for this game is probably in November. I would really like all the character creation, brainstorming and questions to be done by then.

I'm very dedicated to the games I have, but I find my involvement is far less engaging than I'd like. So running a Exalted (a different system) is a needed breath of fresh air.

Exalted: The Seat of Power

We need an Eclipse, a Zenith, and a Twilight. Please also bump old RTJs if you want to submit the same character.

I'm on the mend from surgery. I hope we can get this going soon though!

Exalted: The Seat of Power

So we've closed submissions. I received only really GOOD ones. Too many in fact, TBH. So we have a player abundance and more than enough, but hopefully not too many players.

I really appreciate the fact not everyone can get to the Players Wanted ads quickly enough. I really feel for that, but even though it's hypocritical, I'd like a quick feedback. To start while the forge is just warming up again.

This may be a superfluous  post, I may have received all the RTJs I will have anyway. Just to be sure, yup, we're closed right now. I'm so thankful for having great concepts to work with. To have too many player is something RPoL does more me, and it's gladly a "curse" I gladly bear (when I can). :)

So sorry if you missed out. :( Maybe in the future when I get better at juggling my games. *smiles*

Exalted: The Seat of Power

Now that you're here, I'd like to tell you the game is under construction; but I want players to be able to discuss things like character specs; which can't be done on ANY public forum. So you need to JOIN the game.

Simply put, it's Exalted 2.5, with focus on world building, specifically a seat of power. Rather than give a hook, to MY design, and my hope, I'm starting with a group. Flexible, and patience, and hopefully social players; that want to play Exalted 2.5 (that's key too xp) and have similar playstyles. Rather than waste time with questionaire or some contrived RTJ process/...I'd just like to shoot the breeze for a few RL months and just get some discussion going. When, possibly only if, we get the first group together, then we'll start making head way on playing.

It's under construction, so skip the game info for now, though it's still relevant, it's only ONE adventure, it may not be the first, or even that specific. It's under construction, but I want help building something we'll all enjoy, and prevent potential problems of friction. We already had a GREAT deal of that, and it killeds the game for me. :( I was really sad, but I started making less and less time for it, because I was intimidated and felt a very cool reception. I want to make something better.

I need people to help me make good game. I'm a new ST, I know I will still make mistakes. The last try was one of them. Some things I can't change. I'd like to have help to see what I CAN and SHOULD change.

Again, I want to stress why this game is on its board, and not purely on the public forums. character specs will be discussed. They are forbidden on public forums Simple enough? *smiles*

Lastly, we won't be starting in the near future. When that future is near, it'll already be settled who will play. This game is nothing superb, you'd be giving me chance, and that's all I ask, I have to learn somehow. But if you even suspect you want to play, RTJ, and join the discussion. It's real easy to just be removed, with polite informing. I don't hound or berated anyone that quits. I'd like to have reason, just so I know if I was doing something I could stand to change. I will never require that though. I will always remove you if you tell me to. Just don't ask to be removed, or say you're considering if you don't want to be. Don't send mixed messages, that's all. :) I'm on the spectrum, it's very difficult for me to read nuance. If you're considering leaving the game, you should be removed. I only want people to play when they want to be. If you REALLY need to consider being removed, ask if you mean "take time away from the game" if you think you want to be removed, no big deal. You will be. Come back when you want to.

You can always RTJ again. Seriously. I don't have a (last) straw list merely for leaving my game. If you quit, you should ALWAYS feel free to RTJ again. I mean that. I will usually hold my own guilt for you leaving, never a grudge toward you; not unless you were rude or mean to me. And even then I'll just avoid contact, not harbor ill will. I don't have time to feel ill will, or keep a list of people who *gasp* lose interest, or want something more active. ;) *grins*

Exalted: The Seat of Power

I hope you've started reading here. If not, that's too bad, I feel bad about that, you read a great deal of superfluous information. I did try to direct you here though.

We are getting going, and near the start of the second group. The first group is going to Rathess; while the second will see more long travel, from a Tomb, to a notable manse of the north.

The first group consists of three lawgivers, all still separate. The first is a compassionate but cautious prodigy, another lawgiver with a party girl attitude and the jewels to kick ass, the final is a master of acquisition.

The second group is even more outstanding, in a literal sense, as we have a known anathema southern gladiator, and then a tribal honor warrior princess.

We need one lawgiver for the first group, and for second group of two a combination of the following; a lawgiver, a vizier, or a steward.

Terrestrials will be allowed, but highly discouraged, as they will have to be outcasts that accept the gold faction agenda at worst and are staunch supporters of the solar return at best.

Expect an Indiana Jones meets Cube experience with a combination of exploration and mystical traps and cults. The cast of NPCs are small, but each has a deep background to explore if someone wishes to.
