Godbound - Exalted
The Forthright Rebellion of Order
Thousands of years ago, the host of the Dragon-blooded rose up to fight off the evil of the Golden Devils. They were lead by the Five Immaculate Dragons, paragons of faith that demonstrated ethical guidelines that are still followed to this day. The Golden Devils were finally defeated and their vile souls were locked forever beneath the earth. No more could these monsters reweave reality to fit their own twisted, immortal whims.
Until a month ago.
Augers, oracles - all manner of portents pointed to the emergence of some evil within Creation. The Scarlet Empress retreated within the Imperial Manse to meditate on the issue. The armies of the Empire, inheritors of a Creation free of Solar Exalted, waited with baited breath. When disaster struck, none of the Dragon Blooded host sensed it. In Heaven, the first of the Gods to know was Lytek, god of Exaltation. He set about dispensing these shards of divinity as he was supposed to do - and the Solar Exalted returned to Creation.
At the behest of one of the advisers, the Deliberative (acting in the Empress' absence as she meditates in her manse) has dispatched Shikari to end the Solar menace once more. Still, stories circulate of ordinary mortals being risen above their station to face down the rightful Princes of the Earth with unholy powers.
Premise
The game is about a small circle of Dragon Blooded who begin to hunt one of the newly returned anathema. They may or may not be kung-fu monks of the Immaculate order. All of them will require fighting and investigative skills for this action adventure.
Details
At this point in time, I see it as a one-shot adventure with several twists and turns that should ensure it lasts a fair amount of time. The game will be using Godbound rules but the Exalted 3e setting - Exalted is an amazing game, but the mechanics don't translate well to daily posts - they require much more speedy communications to work well. The Godbound rules was built to handle this sort of story with speed and is perfect for what I envision happening.
I will be accepting a maximum of three to begin play.
