An abandoned abbey, and a hidden enemy (Adult) (5e DnD)

I have twice as many RTJs as I can handle. For the time being, I'm not accepting new players.

A town that had only recently seen its fortunes turn for the better has now been afflicted with a strange illness: a ravaging plague, one that's a little too picky for a simple disease. With little explanation for their shift in fortunes, the suspicious eyes of the townsfolk turn to the abandoned abbey of a vanished religious order -- and to the memory of the tragic history that might still haunt it.

A Scathing of Felnourn is my first DM effort after a hiatus of some 5 years from the game, as well as my first foray into 5e. As such, I'm taking things slow; I'll be light on the rules, low on nitty-gritty details ("the inn is exactly 150 yards from the fishmonger's") and slow to adopt variant or house rules.

I'm looking for 3-6 players who just might be interested in helping a once-prolific DM get back on his feet and into the thick of things, while enjoying (with any luck!) a creative little generic setting -- with a few distinctive characteristics sprinkled in for good measure.

This game is rated Adult. Mature elements include psychological horror , the implication of sapient suffering, and the graphic depiction of the aftermath of extreme violence.

Players may have to make moral decisions with no clear answer. One example, from a previous game: the paladin had to choose to save their life, or rescue an innocent from certain death, when their presence was all that held a particular threat to the rest of the party's survival at bay.

Some people find these sorts of things disturbing, so I'm playing it safe.

The aborted game efforts listed below were all part of an effort to put this game together. They were scrapped due to dissatisfaction on my part, or a lack of time to pursue the game further. None advertised for players, or had other players on board when they were abandoned.

I wound up accepting 11 people, but have worked out how to handle it. The game just kicked off; I'm waiting on responses, but everyone has been pretty enthusiastic leading up to this point. However, I'd like to add another person, and round off the number (and if early-game attrition kicks in, I've already planned things out for a fairly large group, so having another person on board would be helpful anyway).

There are already 1 Cleric, 1 Druid, 2 Fighters, 1 Monk, 1 Paladin, 1 Rogue, 1 Warlock, and 3 Wizards. Rules are more or less standard 5e, with a little leeway for personal customization. Not much, but only because I'm still getting used to this edition. No Dragonborn or Tiefling characters. Fighter and Wizard are the only classes I'm not accepting at this point, though I'd prefer to avoid Warlocks and Sorcerers as well.

Once again, a deluge. I really appreciate the interest; the game's only just kicked off, but everyone seems really enthused thus far. I think I'm up to 15 players, good times!
