Based in a parallel world to our own where magic is as common as notebook paper, for the past almost four-hundred years Terra has been ravaged by a blight which has encompassed every corner.  Within these dark mists, creatures that survive are transformed into blood-thirsty versions of themselves, and humans are no exception.  The only refuge against this enigmatic poison are the lighthouses which keep the poison at bay, and the caravans who maintain them.

Certain individuals, known as the Blessed, are gifted in their ability to control magic, and are most commonly the leaders of any successful caravan.  You are either a Blessed, or a Guardian of a Blessed, and dedicate your time on this mortal coil to protecting and expanding the influence of the lighthouses.
