Carpe Noctem {Mage the Awakening}

  “You see? Size defeats us. For the fish, the lake in which he lives is the universe. What does the fish think when he is jerked up by the mouth through the silver limits of existence and into a new universe where the air drowns him and the light is blue madness? Where huge bipeds with no gills stuff it into a suffocating box and cover it with wet weeds to die?

  Or one might take the tip of the pencil and magnify it. One reaches the point where a stunning realization strikes home: The pencil tip is not solid; it is composed of atoms which whirl and revolve like a trillion demon planets. What seems solid to us is actually only a loose net held together by gravity. Viewed at their actual size, the distances between these atoms might become league, gulfs, aeons. The atoms themselves are composed of nuclei and revolving protons and electrons. One may step down further to subatomic particles. And then to what? Tachyons? Nothing? Of course not. Everything in the universe denies nothing; to suggest an ending is the one absurdity.”

  - The Man in Black, The Gunslinger

In a small corner of the world an old guard of wizards has fallen leaving spoils rich for the plunder. Five fledgling cartels of young magi have sprung up to grab and hold what they can but the dust is yet to settle. Unaligned willworkers, You, continually arrive in the city, growing in number to the point the establishment can't ignore. The Hierarch has sent you all invitations to a formal 'debutante party', a meet-and-greet where the consilium of five cabals can seize up you new immigrants. Will you play politics with the prevailing order or seek to tear it all down and make something in your own image?

The game hasn't started yet and I've decided to run with another chronicle story and open the game up to more players. This will be a sandbox nWoD mage game (second edition) placed in the New Zealand capital of Wellington. The setting is in place to have a backdrop but the direction of the narrative will be up to you. Conflict is expected including player vs player up to and including character death. Be cool to each other and have fun.

In reply to Tasidar (msg # 1):

Request to join:

I would be interested in playing a mage of the Moros watchtower. If you still have slots open in your game let me know and I'll hit you up with a fully worked out character sheet.

I realized I didn't have the Players Wanted flag up in my game. Follow the game link at the top of the page, Logos, that will take you to where you wanna go.
