Robots in Disguise!
The last great Cybertronian conflict has come and gone. Though overwhelmingly strong individually, the Decepticons proved to be no match for the Autobot's superior resources and manpower, and were gradually worn down. Suffering their ultimate defeat on the barren world of Chaar, the remaining Decepticon forces were left scattered and broken. Now, they hide in the dark corners of the galaxy, stockpiling weapons and energon; biding their time in hopes that one day their savior Megatron will rise again to lead them. Though much of Cybertron wishes to simply forget the war, Optimus Prime finds himself uneasy. In an attempt to root out the remaining Decepticon forces and bring them to trial, he has created the Decepticon Justice Divison. While a dirty job, the program had no shortage of volunteers among the more warlike Autobots- not to mention Decepticons looking for a new start. While pursuing a fugitive to a planet known as "Junkion Prime," the DJD made a startling discovery.
On this planet, there were undocumented transforming robots, rebuilding themselves from the oceans of junk that line the planet. This lead to one conclusion: There is other Transformer life in the cosmos. The Junkions bear notable anatomical and mechanical resemblance to their Cybertronian counterparts (including the presence of Sparks, the Cybertronian soul), though show an entirely different sort of technological "evolution." Cybertron's technobiologists came to a fairly quick conclusion- the Junkions were, at some point, descended from Cybertronian life. The leading hypothesis is that there have been a number of exoduses from Cyberton. It is no surprise- archaeologists can recall any number of crises and conflicts in the history of the planet.
As for you: You are a member of the 1st Expedition of the Cybertronian Exploration Fleet, an effort by the planet's leadership to rediscover and reunite the children of Cybertron. Autobot or ex-Decepticon, you joined up with the fleet for reasons of your own. But first, you must investigate strange rumblings from the underworld...
